Cabin filter mod, blue tint blind spot mirrors

I took the idea for the cabin filter mod from someone's earlier post. Used a 3M Filtrete filter that I had for the furnace. My filters are 16x25 and the cabin filters are 8.5x8.5 so I can only get 2 filters out of one furnace filter. Next time I'll pick a better size so there is less waste.

Stripped the cardboard edging off the filter, used an old pair of scissors to cut the filter, including the metal mesh. I cut it slightly larger than 8.5 inches and curled the metal mesh over at the edges. It fits nice and tight into the casing.

Access to the cabin filter is from behind the glove box.

Grab the filter from both side and slide it out.

Cut the filter and fold the edges.

Oh ya. These blue tinted blind spot mirrors are great. Much clearer than the regular blind spot mirrors. Picked up the pair at Canadian Tire for about $4.

I like these! Does anyone know of any place other than Canadian Tire that they can be found? It appears I can not order them from CT's website to be shipped to the US.

I think it resists unnecessary glare from lights and such.

After putting a light coat of tint on my front windows I need all the visibility I can get,, Gonna stick to the clear blind spot mirrors.

Not sure if you are talking about blind spot mirrors, but they really do work. I always considered them an "old man" type of thing,, but they work great.

I replace this thing regularly, this mod seems like a real waste of time.
