Calling all toyota service techs!

I have an 04 1GR-FE with 110k on it. Just recently I replaced the power steering pump, alternator, and all three idler pulleys. Since then I have put three dayco belts on it and I cannot seem to get rid of this dang belt chirp to save my life!! I have been told that its due to misalignment of the pulleys but the pulley's all came installed on the component that I installed (PS pump and alternator) What could I possibly be missing?

Harmonic balancer

Did you check your harmonic balancer for a wobble or shifting?if you remove all the belt/belts is the noise still present? you can buy a laser alignment tool from Napa or other suppliers to see if you have a misaligned pulley.

the noise does go away when I pull the belt off. In fact, it goes away when I spray the ribs with a little water. Then comes back shortly after the water dries out. I checked the harmonic balancer and it looks solid. I have been looking around for a lazer tool to do so myself but I havent found a place that sells them unfortunately. Someone mentioned using a straight edge and a caliper to measure it. I'll see if I can get my hands on one of them.

Very (and I mean very) slight coat of door ease or parafin wax on one edge of the specific belt(s) and test it. If it goes away wait and see if it comes back. If still present try a very slight coat of door ease or parafin wax on the other edge of the specific belt(s).

Should do it. It's possible something might be off slightly but in my experience lately the dayco belts suck balls and this trick has worked long enough for them to break in and get a little dusty to where the noise stops.

It could also be the new pulleys on the new parts just need to wear in also.

Make sure all the pulley grooves are clean. Use a little brush and water to clean them. Contamination buildup can cause squealing.
