It is easier to tap into the parking lights, you can grab it right from either side. If you want it on constantly then you have to connect to ignition which would be more difficult. Hope that helps.

That's exactly what I'd like to do, have them always on. Looks like I'm going to have to run a wire into the cab. Thank you for the suggestion.

Love the LEDs. I'm going add this mod to my truck. Rather than wire to the parking lights, what can I tap into to keep it on as long as the truck is started? The harnesses to the lights are a bit tricky to get to.

If you remove the vehicle battery the harness to the parking lights is right there.

I did, its a subtle change but you can notice a difference; aesthetics wise not performance wise.

I bought 6 cans of each and used all of it so I think it worked out to be 3-4 coats. The sliders have been used extensively during my last off road adventure so there are numerous scratches and gashes that have started to rust. Instead of stripping them down and respraying them, I think I am going to have them properly powder coated sometime in the near future.

Yes as a matter of fact, after my previous off road adventure, the sliders and fuel tank skid got quite the action which resulted in scratches that have started to rust. My plan is to powder coat them however I am still contemplating since I expected the sliders to get all scratched up, I figured I could touch them up easily by just respraying. We'll see what happens.

I don't have the color code in front of me but I got my sliders powder coated in "textured black"
When they get scraped and gashed, rattle can bed liner matches the texture and color pretty close! The professional rustoleum(has a red spray tip vs a bigger white one) seemed to work the best!
Also might want to get the sliders double coated when you PC

The "textured" also kinda acts as grip, not like grip tape where it rubs your leg hairs off, but I haven't slipped on them when it's wet
