Man I'm getting hosed only 29$ , all I've owned since 77 except for the 01 is300 . I'm filing lawsuit for hosing !

This may likely be the case with me. I bought my 5th gen a few weeks before the acceleration issue became news and have not received anything.

I've received nothing for the several Toyotas I have owned or presently own. But I sure am glad I'll have to pay a bit more for my next Toyota so that these lawsuits can be funded.
From the Wall Street Journal:
"... said the settlement would include cash payments for loss of residual value capped at $250 million to Toyota owners who sold or traded in their vehicles between Sept. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2010; $250 million in payments for car owners whose vehicles cannot be updated with brake-override systems up to a maximum of $125 apiece; between $200 million and $400 million to install brake-override systems on up to 3.25 million vehicles; $400 million for extending warranties for engine-control modules and other components; and about $227 million in attorneys' fees and costs."
Was any actual evidence found that showed Toyota was at fault? This whole show was for the plaintiffs' lawyers. You got your $227; he got his $227,000,000.

funny how that finding never became the headline news the accusations and allegations did. i'm not one for the conspiracy theories, but at the very least, it's the crummy failings of the media's "if it bleeds, it leads" dictum.

I know. Only losing $4500 is amazing over that time and mileage. I was saying I'll probably never have another vehicle that depreciates that little ever again. I was very happy with my ownership experience of my 5th gen T4R.
Like they say, I'm just between 4Runners right now.
