Hey man would you mind sharing how you have those mounted? Are they just secured into the front license plate mounts or what? My Hella 700ffs should be coming in the mail today and im trying to think of a way to mount them and where to mount them. I think i like the look of them right in the middle like yours, especially with the contrast of the clear corners + signals it just flows very well. Just not exactly sure what there is to mount to. Looks awesome btw! Thanks for any help.

If I learned anything from the experience, it's that you shouldn't mount lights that low. The next day, I was out on the trail, went through a stream and scraped a rock or something. Came out, one of the lights bent and broke. I didn't really care since they were free, so I just ripped em off and threw them out like I never had them. I wouldn't be so careless with some new Hella 700ff's.

Some people have mounted theirs to the upper valance and stuff, but I think if I ever want lights around there, it'll have to be in a Shrockworks bumper where they are recessed. That, or on top of an offroad bumper in the tubework where they're out of the way and provide a better spectrum of light.

Another thing, when they're so close together, they just focus one spot of light mainly. Doesn't help that much.

Ha! The two things I was gonna suggest when I first saw them were to maybe spread them apart a bit more and to somehow protect them a bit more. Lesson learned I guess.

I still thought visually they looked good.

Bilstein 5100's, bushing kit, and OME 883's!

Will go great with the OME 890's and Rear Nitrochargers. I am considering swapping to 891's if anyone wants to trade (maybe the stiff ride isn't to your liking, 891 owners?). Bumpers are heavy.

They say not to couple these because the ride is stiff. I like that

I would have to agree, the wider they are, the more the light output would be helpfull. I currently have mine pointing down and to either side of the truck. As a result, while driving down a dark highway, they light up the entire road, road side, and even some of the ditches! Here in Northeastern Ontario Canada, deer are an issue, but not as much as MOOSE! Those suckers get big, and hitting one, will not only damage your car, it will total it! Moose weigh as much as a Medium sized horse....about 1500lbs or more!

I love my lights right where they are, and have not been flashed by any drivers yet either.....

BTW, that new suspension setup will be great for your rig C.O.B! Those 883's, will they be as tall as the Toytec 3" spacer setup?? Just wondering because, if so, that rear bumper might sag the 890's enough to make your rig have reverse rake.....I know mine sat pretty level with the spacer and 890's, and any added heavy weight would sag the back.......Just something to think about....although, I noticed your request to trade for some 891's.......

Tried out my new floor jack I bought yesterday. Rears are in, I found out why my ride was so ****ty, the left rear shock was completely blown! Mud inside of it and all 883's go on TOMORROW!!

Cool man. I would heed your advice if only I didn't already throw them away... after destroying them... lol

The front should be as tall, yes. It's a full 3 inch lift coil designed for 100 lbs of additional front weight. I do plan on a Shrockworks someday.

I'll try for a set of 891's if the 890's are too soft. Might not be so bad. I only drove it once to pull it out of the driveway and clean up tools, there's already a noticeable difference.

I assembled my front struts today. I did not know the orientation off hand, but after assembly, it's not incredibly difficult to twist the shock in the spring. That suckers tight, but the shock position can be fine tuned during install. After bolting the top 3 bolts, the bottom hole can twist using leverage from a screwdriver.

Yeah, I didn't take any just because it got dark. I took one after I got it on jack stands. The jack is not touching the truck, it's just placed there after I lowered it onto the stands. I'll have to wait til tomorrow til after I am done with the fronts.

I officially love Old Man Emu's rear shocks, for one specific reason. the top part that acts as a cover for the metal shaft of the shock is actually attached to the shaft. It makes bolting them in a breeze! The bilstein HD's I had SUCKED to get in and out.

BFG's still have a lot of tread so I'll be rolling them for another 10-20k easily. After, though, most likely a 285 BFG A/T. Maybe KM2's if money permits... but I am not sure yet.

For sure. It's not a matter of if, it's more of when. Could be years, could be months. Just depends on if I have the money and when I find a wrecked 4 cyl 4x4 to swap parts from.
