Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try out the new tires yesterday. It would be nice if it rained, too.

On the plus side, I replaced the alarm siren after doing some electrical testing and found the old one had chirped for the last time. Also replaced the 3.5mm end on the PA signal cable, the old one had broken from being pinned against the Shrockworks. The new end does not suffer from the same issue.

5th gen wheels look better on 3rd gens... Then again, 5th gens are just plain ugly :barf:
Here's what a 5th gen wheel and a KM2 look like. I had trouble finding a decent photo of a KM2 on the 2014 4Runner wheel.

I love this style rim, I have them on my 4th Gen. But I love them even more with some mud tires on the 3rd gen. Very nice!

No they're 17x7.5. Easier to find tires for 17s than 16s now. I'm picking up a set of these wheels here in less than a week and plan to mount them on some BFG 255/75/17 KM mud tires. Thanks for the preview!

I did research to figure out why the wheels are so hard to balance. Learned one needs the lug centric adapter (haweka adapter) to properly balance the tires. Lug nuts are tapered. rotors have beveled holes. Lug Centric.

Are you really so thin skinned that my saying the wheels are lug centric sets you off on a nasty tirade? Really?

I think my spare might be lug centric, the lugs sit on top of the rim instead of going though it, it also fits over the hubs. toyota alloys that are hub centric have cylindrical pockets that the lugs go into. Ive heard that if you are mounting a wheel or spacer that is not hub centric you can center it by using cone washers on 3 of the lugs, then tighten down the other lugs and remove the cone washers.

anyways, do you know what the backspacing is on the tundra wheels? ive heard the backspacing on the stock 5 stars is 4.625, but the wheel is stamped 15 which should mean 15mm offset. you would think they would make the offsets all the same but who knows. I was thinking about offsets the other day and came to the conclusion that if you increase the backspacing of your wheels you can make the control arms longer and the track width remains the same, as long as the components can fit into the wheel.
