Yeah, I hear you. I like my rig where it's at and I don't really feel like doing stuff to it just to do it. The only things probably left on my list are possibly a stereo upgrade, cargo/sleeping system and the SC that I constantly go back and forth on.
No more Lincoln. Got rid of it a few years ago. Got too tired of chasing electrical gremlins. Replaced it with a fully restored '48 Chevy convertible. I love it.
Can you post a pic and/or link to the new ride? Sounds like a beauty. Restored to original spec or restomod?
Dude.. SC's are going for mad amounts of money now... two in a row went for $3,500 on eBay. Waaaay too much just for 8PSI...
from the looks of it almost a full year before you joined. dang we r old! i remember when u won the castrol oil from cardomain.com.
yeah how come you guys never check out my build anymore. SC stuff has been going on. :whoo:
Damn son, that's some old-school shit right there... we're among the rocks of T4R.
I'll have to check out your build after this! Lately been reading 7M-GTE MKIII Supra builds almost solely.
Now you've got those two pretty Supras to play with and consume your time haha. We're kinda opposites. You're building Supras now and spending your time on them, and I'm building a 3rd Gen since I've run out of things to do to my Supra without taking it too far from stock, which I don't want to do with mine.
We're backwards buddies! You have more self-restraint, things would've been different if I had a MKIII before the 4Runner... probably would have wrecked it or done a bunch of stupid mods.
You got it just right with that beauty of a Supra... down right pornographic how clean that sucker is. Great to see your taste has shown in the 3rd gen, its a looker!
I'm always spending time fixing shit. MKIV's still giving me issues with high RPM. As of today, though, the 7M-GTE is all done. Last thing I want to do is try to fix something when its installed!
Ah yes, 2012. Remember that one user that retrofitted a second gen tire carrier without reinforcing the sheetmetal from the back? He was quite an electrician too.
So I'm guessing that a built 3RZ is not anywhere in the future. Or maybe the 2JZ in that Supra will make its way into the 4Runner?
Haha what a dumbass... that truck was such an eyesore... skull wheels?!
Built 3RZ... experience is keeping me away from that... It's all happening in stages. Reality is - if that 3RZ is going to be reliable, I need more time for learning.
Stage 1 complete.. removing and replacing engines and turbocharging (learned with the 22R-TE in the 87.)
Stage 2 complete - Complete tear down and rebuilding of an engine (MKIII supra taught me a huge amount of stuff)
Stage 3 in progress - Learning how to tune, achieving proper Air/Fuel ratios, tuning, boost, etc. (7M-GTE and 2JZ-GTE helping me out with that)
After I can do these things confidently, the 3RZ will be rejuvenated. At 235k, it's no spring chicken...
I have a 1997 Toyota f4runner those mudflapsToyota Part PT413-35966-DF/Pf if there is anyway you can let me know how to buy them or where her even if they're used I would prescient it a lot
