Did you have to buy the ARP studs? The stock ones are no good?
Back during the install, I attempted to buy the ARP studs. Actually paid for them and everything, but they didn't show up.
I contacted the seller and he said they were on back order, they would not be available for another few weeks to a month.
I didn't care to wait, so I used Grade 8 stainless steel bolts instead. Never had a problem with them. Much cheaper, too.
Very true. I run all terrains so I don't have to worry about it as much. Not sure how much longer I can run this set though. They're all pretty bald and my front right (the odd one) seems like it might be dry rotting. Luckily I have some Goodyear Wranglers ready to go.
As far as fixing it goes its return may have been pushed up due to my early return home. I'm going to start looking into my options as to how to get it fixed. For now I'm just finishing my interior. Once I get the battery recharger back I'll finish my gauge cluster, make my clock red, install the new rocker switches and throw the dash back together. CB may come next. Just depends on things. I have no idea how to do anything CB related so I'm not sure I want to touch that
All in due time, you have lots of things to do in the meantime. My 87 didn't see a lick of new engine work until well after a variety of random interior/suspension stuff. Any idea yet on the 3.0 repair?

I love reading comments on the internet, so entertaining. I am glad we have the right to voice opinions and the internet is an easy place to do that. Unfortunately the safety of typing shit on a keyboard can turn people into dicks. It amazes me that people get so pissed off over things that are either outside their realm of their control or do not actually affect them.
As an aside: the 5th gen wheels look great.
I could learn a bit from that, myself. Voicing yourself in public is a lot different, I've got a story from just two days ago regarding that.
Story goes:
Friend of mine lives a few houses down from a hot-headed older guy with kids roughly my age. This guy freaks out over loud cars. The other day, I took my 89 Supra turbo down there to meet the friend. We're planning to go visit an exhaust shop to get my car finished up. I'm running about half the exhaust, the sucker is LOUD at all speeds.
Sure enough, I'm not from the area, and my car sets this guy off big time. I passed by his home, he and his son jump in a Chevy truck, drive down to my friends place, and block in the driveway. The father jumps out, shoves my friend, and starts yelling at him. His assumption was that my friend was driving the car. Immediately after my friend gets shoved, I pull out my phone and record the altercation. Suddenly, his demeanor changes, and he's pulled back by his son. I caught some of his physical contact, raging, screaming, threats, cursing, all on video.
He takes off in a huff, yelling obscenities out the window. His kid was some wanna-be gangster, yelling out pointless criticisms intended to anger us. We kept out cool and my friend then calls the police. I show the officer the video, they go over to his house to arrest him. Apparently this was not the first time the guy has done this type of thing, and the cops already knew about him. My friend was shaken up by the situation, but I wasn't about to let that assh0le get away with treating him like that. After all, the guy was supposed to be mad at me, the driver of the loud car.
I do have the video, it's not much other than a ton of screaming. Amazing what a camera will do to a "tough guy." Here's the moment the son noticed the camera.

He actually later messaged me, saying I was a hater. Told me to f*ck off. He was the one that ended up f*cking off, lol.
