It is a good looking tire, the white letters out definitely pulls off the retro look better with KM1. KM2 would probably be a blackwall for me.

I bought one for my 3rd gen from the same people. It's been 2.5 years and it still looks fantastic, the quality is nice. eBay username is aoenterpreses and their boots run around the $20 range.

Switched center consoles to non rear heater version. Non-rear heat console has two compartments, a LOT more space. Since it came from a pickup, there was no rear ash tray, so I had to reuse the one from the original console.

Installed a couple boots I got from Marlin Crawler.

This boot was much easier to install than I thought. A tiny spray of silicone lubricant and the boot slid right over the shifter and into place.

F*ck cops in my area, f*ck them all.

Cop passed me in an intersection, flipped a U-turn to catch up to me, and then ticketed me.

I should have just turned away a different direction to avoid the f*cker. I thought for once, I shouldn't have to, I'm in a truck, I'll just keep going.

I got a ticket for no front plate and license plate lights. Not like I'm behind my truck when I'm driving at night to see the lights are out, a warning would have done just fine.

Dick heads are getting $50 out of me for this, meanwhile the douchebag cop will look good in his bosses eyes for being a power flaunting prick

I put on the whole front valance while doing the plate...

OC cops man.

I can see the no rear license plate light bulb being a ticket but I feel the front plate thing is pretty bogus.

I have noticed that with the ARB cops don't give me a hard time about the plate. Perhaps they assume it wouldn't mount anyway?

Console turned out pretty good. What did you do to get such a short shifter? Also, that dash mat fits perfect, where did you pick that up?

Truck looks great with the valence, and at least the plate doesn't look out of place. On a sidenote, the rig has turned out just gorgeous. We had an '88 4Runner, auto with the 22RE, while I was growing up that was bought new that was sold in 2005 with only 100k miles. It was a mint West Coast Canada car, without a spot of rust on it. Seeing how this turns out makes me wish I had begged to keep it. The whole truck it spot on, great job!
 
I never put my front plate on. Ran that way for years. Then one time I was behind the Orange curtain... Fkn ticket for no front lic. plate! LA County sheriffs never bothered me. Ever. They got bigger fish to fry.

It is bogus. Just like you, they never give me any grief for my 3rd gen at all, ever. Shrockworks never once had a plate on it. I feel profiled for owning an older vehicle.

Thanks. The shifter is all stock, even the knob. The pictures without the boot may be more clear.

The dash mat is made by Dash Designs, I bought it from RockAuto.com

Thank you! Yeah the valance actually comes out looking nice.

Bummer you didn't keep it... although, since you're in Canada, can you get access to a Hilux Surf diesel relatively easily? If in the case you were ever interested in another 1st gen, that is.

Makes sense. Lol the "orange curtain" is pretty funny, never thought of that before. Did you ever install one? I assume only for the ticket?
