Bummer you didn't keep it... although, since you're in Canada, can you get access to a Hilux Surf diesel relatively easily? If in the case you were ever interested in another 1st gen, that is.

There are a lot of 2nd gen Hilux Surf's diesel's around here, don't recall ever seeing a JDM first gen. That being said, not a huge fan of RHD cars on roads meant for LHD. Probably wouldn't be too bad though since it wouldn't be a DD.

That being said, if I can get my '99 to look half as nice as yours I will have done pretty well. Which reminds me, I should probably update my build thread...

Thank you haha... Yeah RHD would be an interesting concept, laying my eyes on a SFA turbo diesel hilux Surf would seal the deal quickly. I've only seen one in person but I damn near shat myself.

My driver seat is completely broken to shit so the best thing for me is a new set of seats.

Being that I want to retain the sliding passenger seat for back seat access, I reused the passenger side rails. The 2nd gen seats fit with a couple washers for spacers to keep the floor holes lined up.

I covered the red plastics with more SEM Color Coat.

Driver's side was a simple bolt for bolt swap. No rail removal required.

Last, I painted the knob for the glove box. It comes out with two screws, paint, and quick reinstall. The black marks above the knob were already there. A huge improvement over the faded pink/white swirl. Painted door handles coming soon.

I found 2 center console clips at the junkyard, now both sections of the console lock and open as intended.

Adjusted the torsion bars a little bit. At first I had done 10 threads, but the difference was too severe, I backed it down to 5. The ride is definitely better than before, the rake is less apparent.
