Cold Air Intake

Hey guys,

Does anyone know or can take an estimated guess as to when the aftermarket world will have a Cold Air Intake system available for the 2010 4runner? I imagine it won't be til 2011 at the earliest.

You might able to shorten the wait time by checking with the companies that offered CAI's on the 4th gen and FJC. If you're near one of the companies, they may ask you to bring your 4Runner in for prototyping. Most companies usually provide some type of incentive to the owner of the vehicle used for prototyping and mock up.

The V6 is mostly the same from the 4th gen except for the addition of Dual VVT-i. The '10 FJC also uses the same engine as the 4Runner.

checked a few places out online and havent been able to find a cold air intake system for the 2010 model FJC. they changed the engine on the 2010 model to the dual vvt-i version from the previous vvt-i so i'm not sure how that will affect the engine as well as the cold air intake.


the engines on the 2010 FJC and the 2010 4runner are exactly the same so i'd imagine whatever fits on the FJC will fit on the 4runner. its only a matter of time :hungry:
