For any newbies who like to camp but are unsure of trying out their truck on the trails... I was in your shoes last year. Your truck is more awesome than you think. There are really easy trails if you just want to do a little exploring but not get any scratches.
This is a laid back, no drama crew. If you can wade through the sarcasm and flatulence you'll have a great time. Just experiencing the Cove, makes the trip worthwhile.

I'll try to remember to bump this thread every Monday and Friday. As the trip approaches I will provide updates and more detailed information as well.

Sounds good, whether I smoke 5 pounds or 25 pounds of pulled pork for 18 hours will be determined later.
One thing I forgot to ask, because I am a noob to this. Will we be able to grab up downed trees etc for fire wood? Trying to figure out if I can justify trying to score a chainsaw to bring.

No. The Cove asks that you use their firewood that can be purchased at the Camp Office. There is plenty of kindling in the surrounding woods though.
One of our members (who wishes to remain anonymous every year) donates $100 worth of wood for us to use.
This usually gets us through a few cold nights!

If you're from Florida you might think it's freezing.... I'm from 2 hours east and let me tell you.... when Antman suggests you get something to put between your air mattress and the ground.... HE KNOWS what he's talking about. It was 43 degrees the first night. We promptly made a trip to Wally World for some foam the next morning... worth every dime. [emoji6]
