Has anyone run the FJ rears with the stock coil fronts on the 5100s? I can't seem to find any FJ fronts in my area and 3/4 of my shocks are leaking, so I can't really wait much longer to do the swap.

I was thinking if I ran the rears at .85 on the 5100s, and the fronts at the same, I won't be too butt high, but I'm not sure.

I did for several months before getting my Tacoma TRD coils for the front. No issues.

Wife's 2006 4Runner V6 2WD. Hated the raked stance, so I picked up a set of front bilsteins off local guy, super nice. Came off his 08 FJ Trail Teams.

Apparently the stock struts were TOAST. Just using the FJ struts the front raised up 1.5" and came out perfectly. The piece of tape you see is where I made a mark and measured to. Love this thing. I think I'm about done with it, wife wants a spoiler but that'll come eventually.

Finally installed my FJ springs and Bilstein 5100 (1.75 front, 1.5 daystar rear). Running stock tires (Michelin LTX) because they are pretty much brand new. Will upgrade when these are worn.

The springs themselves off a 2010+ FJ will fit a 4th gen T4R without modification, correct? If I'm pairing them with 5100s I should be good to go, yes?

Yes, The 2010+ springs will fit fine without modification on a 4th gen 4runner. It's the fj 2010+ shocks that you have to modify to make them fit. If you pair 2010+ coils with bilstein 5100s you should be good to go for fitment.

O'Reilly "Direct Import" Coils?

Does anyone have experience with the "Direct Import" replacement coils from O'Reilly" They look like a good option, if they are of comparable quality and spring rate. Looking to do the Bilstein 5100/FJ coil conversion on my 06 4WD SR5 for a small lift (front at .85"). Sadly, no good info is on the website.

I put on the 5100 adjustables and FJ coils on today. The passenger side is sitting about half an inch higher than the driver's, whereas before the install they were the same.

Any idea what would account for that? Will it settle over time and equal out? I put the springs on the correct sides, as far as I know.

well here's how my lift turned out. Being a v8 it still has a slight rake to it. I'm more than happy with how it handles. 16mpg average... but who cares.

5100's set at 2.5, 07 FJ springs, 1.25" Spidertrax.

Tacoma-TRD (F) & FJ + OME 10mm trim (R)

I found discussion about this rear combo but nothing conclusive. I think the tacoma trd combo upfront yielded me around an 1-1/2" lift so in the rear i'd like an outcome resulting in a ~1" rear 2 front rake in order to compensate for loads. Would this FJ coil + OME 10mm trim pack combo get me there?

Has anyone done this and got the result im after? Thanks :laser:

Agreed. What's the total lift? No spacer? I assumed a spacer was always needed in the rear to run the 5100's that high up front.

Did my swap out last week. 5100s all around, set to 1.75 in front. Used 2014 FJ springs.

Can't wait to install the 07 FJ set I just picked up! Not looking for a big raise but minimal with a Toytec leveling spacer in the front. Hopefully ride quality is a little firmer as well. My stock 4R suspension feels waaaaay to squishy.

I have an 05 v8 sport 4wd. Would it be ok to just buy new springs and keep the stock shocks for a little while until I have enough for the bilsteins?
