Costco Getting Rid Of Bridgestone

If you want Bridgestone's for any of your vehicles from Costco... better act now! I just put in my order for a set of 5 Revo's (told them size was 265/70-17 and they still ordered it!) and they told me it was good that I came in cause after Dec. 31st they're only gonna carry Michelin and BFG! Maybe now is that time to order your Revo's/Grappler's/Geolandar's from Costco now!

Oh well........the world won't stop turning! There will be other places that sell the Revo's for those of you who want them. Costgloat isn't the only low price retailer in the world! Ooops! Excuse me.....I just realize you were in Califunky where they "HATE" Sam's clubs and super Wal-Marts!

haha... true dat about Wal-MicrosoftOfRetail-Mart stuff... but there isn't really even a Sam's Club near me to even form an opinion! Good thing about Costco to me is...
1. Less than 10mins from my house
2. USUALLY tire center wait isn't bad
3. When I shop for my 10lbs of cheese and 200 pack of TP I can get my lifetime rotation, balance, and nitrogen gas fill done all in one trip!

i.e. Tire gashes in the sidewall, no problem. Here's a new tire...

According to the costco near me, I believe Bridgestone's are just backordered. The tires are manufactured and shipped from japan. Maybe the're spending too much time in the R&D laboratory for Formula One. ?!?

I'm going over to the Michelin's because I put a lot of highway miles on my vehicle. In all, I hope they don't discontinue selling bridgestones.

I don't think they'll stop supporting owners of Bridgestone tires. They're just not selling them to new customers anymore. If you have a warranty claim, I'm sure they'll be able to get the tire for you.

My guess would be until you buy new tires. As long as you have a receipt, they should honor what they sold and I believe they would.

I think they're dropping Bridgestone because of their price hike this month. I just checked and the 70 series is higher than the 65 series now.

Commack Costco on LI is a hit or miss w/ customer service IMO.

Though they would fit 265 70 17's on my stock rims, I'm worried that if one Revo goes bad, they will to try to sell me 4 Michelins?!? If I hear the excuse "we don't sell those anymore, you're gong to have to buy a new set of tires"..., I wouldn't be a happy camper

These guys refuse work on mis-matched tire combinations all the time. Who could blame them !!

I'm sure costco is not worried about the bottom line when it comes to tires. It's liability they're afraid of. (Thanks Firestone)

I've been watching forumula 1 for 3 years now and love the rivalry of the two tire manufacturers. Can you believe it takes 300+ ingredients to make a tire?

Michelin has more test miles under its belt compared to Bridgetsone. I was just eluding to the fact that Bridgestone will be on several differnt cars in the 06' season and if they intend to compete, they better not take a guy off the REVO manufacturing line to make tires for F1.

They pretty much had to to catch up when they re-entered F1 5 yrs ago (or so). They're leaving after '06 to leave 1 tire manufacturer... again.

Good luck w/ the warranty repair service of your REVO's at Costco. They will be running Michelin and BF Goodrich Tires in Consumerland '06

I just had my Revo's rotated at Costco. I asked the manager what would happen if I had a road hazard issue with one of the Revo's.

He told me they could NOT get a Revo to replace the bad tire. They will prorate it and give me 3 FREE tires of either the newest BFG or Michelin (same company). Like others I don't believe there is a better tire... but I don't think their replacement policy is unfair.

Firestone dealers evidently were not happy with the price Costco was giving so Corporate pulled the plug. Evidently Michelin is OK with selling to Sam's Club and Costco.
