Yeah i like the atx slabs to. The don't come in our bolt pattern but they do offer them blank so you would just have to get the bolt pattern drilled. I wonder if tax could do it per request? I really like the Method 105 Beadlocks to, i also just saw that Ultra cam out with some beadlocks but idk if they would be on the same level as ATX and Method?

I went out one time and pulled one out in a mud pit these should be less likely to get caught up

Does OMF make the rock rings specifically for your wheels? Wonder if you could mount these same rings to a SCS wheel with the bolts.

How do you like the 295's? I have run 33's and 35's and am at a crossroads on the 05' 4Runner I just picked up. Really debating between a 295 and sticking with a 315, like I ran on my 2 previous built Toyotas. Just hoping the 295 might be the "sweet spot" that is still good for the harder trails and deep snow but also a bit better economy for the long highway drives. Would be interested to hear your impressions on the 295's considering the type of wheeling you do.

I talked with OMF regarding getting some rock rings made for my wheels 7 months ago. They said they hadn't done any SCS wheels before but I could ship them one for them to take measurements off of. I had eventually planned to do this because it would look BA. Then I went to the SCS website last week and saw they had teamed up with OMF to offer beadlock conversions for their wheels. After a few emails to SCS I learned this:

"Rock rings is not something that we carry or sell. We are only offering the OMF conversion on brand new wheel orders. To have a sold rock ring put on the wheels, you would have to ship your wheel to them. An inner ring would need to be welded onto t he wheels to provide better strength. The existing holes on the SR8 is very shallow and not meant to be used with any kind of ring. The first light impact and it will shear off."

At first I thought they meant they are only doing true beadlock conversions but now since I've read it again maybe they are saying I need to send in my wheels, that I can't buy the rings off the shelf, but the rings are still available?

This is true. I think the main issue is the bolt intrusion depth on the rings.

Now that you typed that, I actually remember having this conversation with Vin and why even beadlock rings would require custom work from OMF.

Carry on. haha I guess I just need to keep scraping my pennies together to buy the real deal.

Sorry I haven't been on here for a while
Yes I had to custom cut bolts for this I went with button head hex and made them go almost to the bottom of the holes, I have been off road with these and hit them a few times, bent one in pretty good and the bolts held up I bent the ring back in shape and all is good so far

We should get the old crew back together for a run I think it would be fun!
We would be short the jeep guy though, we don't talk anymore but it would be fun to see all you guys
