DAC Limited Beeping??

I've got a 2011 Limited 4x4 and am having trouble with the DAC.

I put it in 4 Low, pressed the DAC button and upon descending the hill I started to hear beeping and it didn't seem to slow the rig down.

I reviewed the Toyota video which states that it keeps the truck less than 15mph. It could be that I was descending less than 15mph today but why the beeping? Am I doing this wrong?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you haven't fully engaged 4L (L4L - which from my understanding means going into 4HL... driving at a few to 10ft... then turn the dial to L4L - let that engage), then you should be able to use the DAC without any issues.

I don't think you can go directly from H4F to L4L. And, of course, you need to fully stop the vehicle before going from 4HL to L4L. See page 228 in the manual.

That was it. I hadn't let the L4L engage. DAC worked great on steep decline. Little noisy though.
