Yep, It's a fully converted 4x4 with manual hubs, only thing I'm waiting on is a set of Warn outers to come in, ordered them already.

(Another) New Amp got here from a trade today.
This one's an Ampere Audio 3800.1, capable of around 4000W, I probably won't be using the full 4k for a while though, my single 18 won't take much more than the 3k it's already on.
I've been contemplating a new sub set-up for a while now, I'll either be running 3 12's or 4 8's depending on what I want to sacrifice for the new set-up.

Decided not to go through with the sub change after hearing some not so good things about the frequency response of the subs I had chosen, plans changed and I'm working on a 3-way active set-up, custom enclosed fiberglass kick panels with new midwoofers and a 2" midrange in the stock door spot, also enclosed, should be sounding great in no time.
Also Picked up a Yakima Loadwarrior off of craigslist cheap, not in the best shape, so kind of making a little restoration project out of it, I'll post pics tomorrow.

The rack is finished up and mounted, I went with self etching primer, then rustoleum bumper and trim paint and hit it with a stain clear for good measure, turned out well, it isn't perfect, but for around 70$ total into it, I can't complain.
Still working on the wind fairing, using Valspar plastic paint and primer with valspar gloss clear, it's great stuff for plastic.

Yes it is on top of the factory crossbars, it adds around 8" over the factory crossbars.
I tried to flip the clamps over so the crossbars would run inside the basket to lose a few inches but the crossbars wouldn't go through.
After thinking about it, it may be possible to mount the basket directly to the factory tracks with some extra hardware for the roof guards, and that would end up only a couple inches over stock.

I thought about turning my old doors into half doors when i first swapped them out, but thought I couldn't do it, since the speakers were in the doors and it would be a huge pain to undo that every time I swapped doors.
Well, today at work I was thinking about it again. and it came to me, I currently have no speakers in any of the doors, so I may follow through with my half doors, I would definitely have to remove my subwoofer while the doors were off but that's no biggie, and I'd need to get a deck with a removable faceplate, no biggie either.
I even could mount the extra Limited door trim I have on my old doors and not have to worry about the uglyness of not matching up with the flares, so, we'll see if I end up doing it, I'll definitely need to have my other car running reliably to drive anywhere it'll be parked out of sight, but i think overall it's a good idea.

Well, it finally happened, I've been growing tired of the huge subwoofer taking up all my carge space for a long time, and recently I've been listening to more rock than anything, and honestly rock that loud does not sound good, so it's gone, for good.
I will be putting something more sensible in and carrying useful things instead, planning on a full tool kit, first aid, fire extinguisher, maybe onboard air, and possibly a 1st gen rollbar.
I honestly don't miss it at all.
Look at all the room for activities!
I can feel the engine working less to get up to speed, that may have a positive effect on my MPG's
The only immediate problem
Keep in mind I removed 300+ pounds of stereo.
Went up well over 2" in the rear, so I'm around 6" of rear lift atm...
I may need to consider finding some 7 wraps.

Finally an update, got bumpers put together!
Like a glove. Dad's Tacoma Bumper barely fit.
Gotta get them ground down, dad's getting his powdercoated, I'll probably rattle can mine so it'll be easy to touch up.
D-ring was just tacked on so we could hang it from the winch to test fit it and line up the mounts.

Took a little break from modding, but now I'm back at it again.
I found this sweet 2 D Cell LED Maglite in a ditch on the side of the road, threw some batteries in and it worked perfectly! Mounted it to the front of the seat support.
Broke down and ordered some Yakima SNARS brackets to mount my rear lights
Then I ordered up some OTRATTW switches, finally decided to switch to Amber/Red, wasn't feeling the White/Blue anymore, just wasn't mellow enough.
Working on wiring in my 2nd battery again and all the lights will be operational very soon.
You probably noticed the rock light switch, picked up 2 strands of these small LED panels I think there are 20 each, going to be using these as rock lights, probably not all 40 though.
Bought my CB set-up, picked up a Cobra 19 I'll be mounting in the ashtray spot, the CBI bracket, and a 4' and 2' firestik, got the antenna on already, waiting for one more thing to show up before I tear the dash out, only want to do it once.
Finally got around to swapping my cluster, basically just put my Odo/speedo into the new one, used the super clean bezels and finally have a working right blinker light on the dash. Also used Amber Halogens in the dash.
Last but not least, went to the junkyard Saturday and picked up my new brake booster and scored a 1st gen roll-bar with the padding, but also found these babies.
Housings were pretty well destroyed, but everything else was intact (minus a broken relay)
Baked the headlights and now I'm left with these.

All for only 30$!
Planning on picking up some 96 style lights for temp while I retrofit my OEM 99+ headlights.
Front bumper is awaiting paint at this point and Saturday we picked up materials to start fabbing up a rear plate bumper with a swingout. It's all coming together.

I have the same rock lights, but haven't had a chance to mount them up yet. I will be very interested in seeing where you mount yours. Take lots of pics! :wof:

I'll probably mount the majority of them to the running board brackets, I'll also put some in front of the front wheel and behind the back wheel, haven't thought about where to mount those yet though, I'll make sure to post more info when the time comes.

Forgot a couple little things in my update, I picked up these snap-on ratchet straps at costco. I got 2 packs of 4 at 20$ a piece.
40$ for 8 super nice ratchet straps, can't beat it.
And I finally got myself a husky liner, Have to figure out where to get the rubber material in tan to re-do the seat backs to rubber instead of carpet.

Been slowly doing little things, been pretty busy lately so I've only got a couple hours during the day.
Kinda sand-bagged the pictures due to time constraints, but I've got an easy day tomorrow, so I hope to finish up the rollbar welding and get some other small stuff wrapped up.
Got my CB into the dash and wired in, I was not able to use the provided bracket like I have seen done by so many members, it would hit the dash and kink the CB around, then would be stuck behind it and not come out. So I worked my Zip-Tie magic on it, we'll see how it holds up.
Re-working my cargo area, hopefully this lay-out sticks and I end up being content.
1st Gen rollbar chopped up and ready to be welded together, grew sick of rolling in silence so I built a new slot port box for the American Bass XFL 12's from earlier in the thread, this will be my daily set-up.
Battery fits in the back right corner, fuse blocks and panel is in the factory cargo compartment.
Tool Box fits between the box and wheel well, Had to go a little taller on the sub box than I really wanted, but sometimes you just gotta work with what you got.
I need to build a cargo box to occupy the space to the left of the speaker box still, that will end up housing my emergency gear, ratchet straps, recovery gear, and whatever tools don't quite fit in the toolbox.
I plan on hanging my sub amp (Crescendo BC2000 on the way) off of the rollbar on the left side.
Big Fire extinguisher, Air hose and Extension Cord will go on the other side of the rollbar.
The subs will be easily removable set-up this way (~15 Minutes total) so if I need the space for anything it's not a hassle.
Also have my 18" ZCON and the massive box still, in case I feel like getting loud or showing off. :guitar3:
