I see you mention a Cobra CB, but I dont see a CB antenna, what are you using?

My primary communications is on Ham radio and I rarely use CB anymore. When I do, I use the Wilson Little Wil magnetic mount on the roof. It's the antenna on the roof in this pic. Excellent little antenna and the roof is the best location for CB antennas if you want max performance.

It connects to the radio exactly like any other CB antenna, through a PL-259 connector. The difference is the manner which the antenna is mounted to the vehicle. In the case of the Little Wil, it's mounted via a magnetic base.

IBS Dual Battery System with Odyssey PC 1200 MJT-L secondary battery

The Odyssey battery is mounted on the passenger side between the airbox and the firewall. I have a 750 amp in-line fuse on the cable connecting it to the main battery and 50 amp circuit breaker to the line going into the cabin. The power from the Odessy continues to the back cargo where there is another 50 amp circuit breaker feeding 2 "always powered" 12 volt sockets. The control box for the IBS system is routed into the center console.


Battery mount location. The fuse is mounted in front of the airbox. The relay for the IBS is mounted below the fuse.

You can get tray from Odyssey. Odyssey hold down kits. I fabricated the brackets to mount the tray to the top of the fender well.

Def deserves T4R of the year.

First thing I thought when I saw the Raptor was "Did he seriously replace a freaking Volt with a Raptor???" LOL...

Hahaha...The Volt is still around. It's my wife's car and she's enjoying the 113 mpg and the HOV lane sticker too much to replace it with a 13 mpg Raptor. The car that the Raptor replaced was a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. I couldn't wait to get rid of that gutless wonder.

The nice thing about 4Wheelin' is it takes me to places that have awesome scenery to get those shots.

That pic was taken about 1/4 mile into the Reward Mine. The entrance is at N36 45.096 W118 03.017. The turn off for the trail is off of 395 at the Manzanar/Reward Rd about 12 miles north of Lone Pine. Here is the entrance to the mine.

That's pretty awesome, I wish we had something like that on this side of the country. Can you drive through that? We have caverns here, but they're just walkthroughs.
