Sorry, Maybe like 11am? I had to schedule a doctor's appointment for my son and the earliest they could get him was from 8-9am.

I am still in for Monday. If anyone wants to drive up the mountain together let me know. I am right by where 210 and 15 meet. Anyone else bringing someone along? I'm thinking of bringing my kids, so my question really is are we going to run any hard trails or more of a leisure snow drive?

I'll be bringing my 6 year old and could meet by the 210/15 on my way up since that's the way I'll be coming. I'll be leaving Anaheim at 9am. I think there are going to be options for harder stuff, but that's not going to be the main focus of the trip.
According to @GVL, as long as it isn't more than another 6 inches we should be good. Sounds like they're slowly closing gates up there, but there's still a couple that are open. I'll be checking with him this weekend to make sure and if the last gates are closed we'll have to come up with something else.

This sounds fun. I would definitely like to go with as the Big Bear local. I would just need to ride along with someone...
Never been out to Green Valley Lake (I don't think...) but if the gates get closed due to snow fall I know of some other roads that don't have gates if your interested. There are some easy roads (great for snow drifting) and some hard roads in that area so we'll have some good selection. I also have a map of the entire mountain in the off chance we find something none of us are familiar with, but probably won't happen since I've been on most roads up here

Shoot GVL a PM, he's local up there too and leading the run for us. Maybe he can swing by and pick you up.

Bumpity. Looks like we're still on track with some fresh powder coming tomorrow. Sounds like between @GVL and [MENTION=71309]Lego3k1[/MENTION] we should be able to find at least one trail to go get stuck in. I'll check with Tim this weekend after the snow falls, otherwise Green Valley Lake parking @ 11am (ish) Monday.
Sure will there are tons of trails that are open year round in big bear, now if there is too much snow that's a different story. No doubt we will have a great time. I will have my 6 and 4 year olds with me and maybe a buddy in my car. On the 210 there is a second right of citrus we can meet up and drive together or just meet up at 11. Also, depending on how much snow maybe gvl can give us a heads up to just bypass heading into gvl and head to big bear, but I'm down for what ever, not trying to flip my rig on this snow trip lol

I have GVL's number so I'll try to be in contact with him this weekend and should have an update by Sunday night so we can plan accordingly. Where are you thinking off Citrus? Google Maps puts me at 53 mins from Anaheim to the Arco off Highland so I'd be there about 10 assuming no traffic.

Depends where you go in Big Bear. Where I usually go is open year round if you take the right trail in so that is an option. [MENTION=71309]Lego3k1[/MENTION] are you staying in Big Bear after the run?
I will be comin back down after our run. And you are correct a lot of trails are always open depending on the amount of snow and on your vehicle to make It thru. I've been with some deep stuff and had a hard time with my mud terrains, but I won't leave anyone behind. Pm me and I will shot you over my cell number. And yes, drummer it's the arco south of the 210 at citrus. I will be there at 9:50 standing by.

GVL Confirmed fresh powder from last night and we should have a fresh road to hit tomorrow morning. See you all at about 11 barring traffic. Hopefully it's not too slow going up the mountain with the fresh snow.

I'm going as well. I'm not sure about details on how I'll be there (whether I'll be riding with GVL or in my own vehicle) but I will be there. So do I need to be down in Green Valley at 11 or when?

Yeah originally I wanted to do 10, but then I had to shift it up an hour because my son has a doctor's appointment from 8-9. Hopefully traffic isn't too bad tomorrow, especially going up the mountain.
