Direct Replacement LED Fog Light Assemblies for 2014 & Other 5th Gens

after reading through this and the HID upgrade thread, and seeing [MENTION=103267]Saker[/MENTION] pic of the combo in that thread, i think i've nailed down combining this XB LED Fog Kit with the Morimoto H11 Elite 35W/5500K HID system.

my question is, and this may be obvious, is there a major difference between installing this fog kit and just purchasing a replacement LED fog light bulb like from precision for example?

2015 Limited

Just a heads up for anybody that wants these fog lights for a 2015 Limited. Installing them is a lot easier then just taking off the whole bumper. All i had to do was unscrew the 10mm bolts that held on the splash guards as well as three bolts holding on splash guard underneath. There are about 4 silver color clips that have little white plastic clips going threw them. Push out the plastic clip's and the hole entire fog light assembly will come right out. I spent about 45 minutes trying to find all of the bolts to take off the whole bumper. Finally i just tried to take off the clips and Walla the whole assembly popped right out. After figuring this all out it took me about twenty minutes to do both lights. If i tired this to begin with then I would've spent about a half hour taking them out as well as putting them in. I will post pictures later, but trust me NOOOOOO need to take off the whole bumper to remove and install fog light assemblies. eep:

Correct you do not need to remove your entire bumper. Just need to reach in from the bottom/wheelwell to do all the work.

For anyone considering these fog lights, if you care about matching tints between your low beams with the H11 TRS 5500k tint and these lights rated at 5000k... they are not even close to matching. Even after "breaking" the 5500k HID in.

It appears there was a change. Here's a thread I made about it. I'm going to go back outside and pull the truck apart to get some pics and I'll post them in that thread. Hold tight.

If they look like this, then the Morimoto's will fit with just a little bit of modification to the tabs that are fastened with the screws, or you can place the Morimoto LED unit in the OEM bracket (this has been done and documented).

Just wanted to verify that these LED replacements will fit in a 2016 4runner TE, I pick mine up this week and would like to order these if they do. After reading the posts it seems most say they will fit and others said they would not. If someone could verify that they fit it would be appreciated.

Since no one in this thread or the other one you posted in seems to have the answer, when you pick up the truck why don't you pull the drivers side fog light, take a picture of the housing, and we'll be able to tell you real quick if it is the same or not.

Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes and will be good practice for the installation!

here is a quick photo I took of the driver side fog light from my 2016 TE, would that be sufficient for anyone to verify if there is no change and the MORIMOTO XB LED FOGS will easily work with mine. And if you need me to pull out the fog light and take a better photo I can do that, just figured I would go the lazy route first.

Install for a trail is different than for a limited.
Specifically you will need to remove the front bumper on the limited to install the fog lights.

As far as I know with the limited you don't have to remove the whole bumper.

I just installed a set of the oem 2 in 1led DRL+fogs in my 2016 limited. And yes had to remove the whole front bumper.
