Bit of advice, make sure you set your HVAC settings before you yank the cluster out since you'll be without them for quite some time, thankfully I had mine set to defroster and low heat

Very good advice. A snow storm could come at any time. It would suck not to have the defrost set to on. A fill up would be smart also.

Yeah, I had to refill my gas 3 times while Alex had my gauges, third time I was almost completely empty. Scary stuff

Turn around time is USUALLY* a week. I've had some bad family issues that have caused lengthy lead times, but I'm working on it.

Anyone care to make a tutorial video of soldering the speedometer cluster LEDs?Just curious how difficult it is to remove the old ones and solder on the new ones.

Personally, I wouldn't even attempt it, but thats just me, leave it to the expert.
I did just finish changing over the HVAC and LCD screen, very very easy.

Question for you guys that have replaced the HVAC/LCD bulbs with white leds.
My reset/mode display at night is a little too bright, kinda distracting. I see this in almost all the pics I've seen of others posted regardless if they are white or blue or whatever the color.
Wondering if anyone has tried to tone it down a little by painting the very tip of the led black. The thought being that the "body" of the led would still radiate enough light for that area.
Thoughts?

I have photo sensitivity to bright lights, and I don't have a problem with any of my LED's, I also have a brighter blue in those 2 lights, and don't have any issues. You could try painting the tip, but I'm not sure how even your light output would be. Also keep in mind, that it's very hard to photograph the LED lights coming out right.

ALSO, the led puts light out of the tip of the led, so you would get no light output. I mean try it of you want, let us know how it works
