Do people still use 4th gen 5100s with 890s?

for the 4WD versions, the stock height varies over the years and also on the options available on the vehicle (the lesser the options the lighter the truck is, the taller is the truck). the tallest were the 1999-2000 MY as they were 1" taller than the 1996-1998 MY. The 2001-2002 MY were know as the low-riders as they were about 1" lower than the 1996-1998 MY. The stock front ranges from 20" to 20.5" while the stock rear ranges from 20.5" to 21" for the 1996-1998 MY.


No, I'm using OME Sport shocks front and rear.

Gotcha, well I think I should be able to figure it out with that info.

Also, I saw a pair of icon shocks, the VS 2.0 set for like 319.99 on wheelers. Says good up to 2.5" but doesn't give the compressed/extended measurements.

Any opinion on these?

Some questions:

• How do they ride?
• Did you extend the bumpstops?
• Do the coils get too loose at full droop?
• Do you have any photos?

- I've been really happy with the ride. I haven't done any wheeling in a while because of other stuff going on, but recently did a few trails and thought they handled great, but did get a squeak in the back from something that I haven't located.
- I did not extend the bumps, but looking to do that soon.
- I can't say if I've gone full droop, but haven't lost a coil yet. I still have the stock isolators installed on top of the coils.
- Here's a pic after install. Previous owner had a spacer lift that I can't even to describe how happy I was to throw those away.

Yeah that's what I was going to do, but I was hoping that somebody here and perhaps could comment on their ride.
