since the portable compressor unit will run an air ratchet i picked up this compact air ratchet off ebay, it was a good score, new for 1/2 of what they want for it at Home Depot, 500 lbs of torque, it didn't even skip a beat taking lug nuts off and only weighs a couple of pounds

dug out an old storage box i had in my old Tacoma. Used it to consolidate 3 rubbermaid action packers. Better organization and takes up less space

22 year old headlight housings suck

install is pretty straight forward, remove the corner lights, remove the grill install and re-install the other junk.
I went ahead and pulled a PIAA H4 headlight harness from the trekker and used it with these headlights (which use a H4 bulb)*
Daylight they definitely seem brighter. *Will get them aimed tonight see what the verdict is.

Just put these same headlight housings on my truck, but I went with GTR Gen 3 LED bulbs since they mimic the filament in a regular bulb. They definitely rock. Did you keep halogens in it, or have you switched to led?

Up Front:
-10 year old Trail-Gear Leaf springs from my old 81
-Low Range Off Road Low Profile front spring hanger
-Sky's Off Road Boomerang front shackles

Rear:
-1997 FZJ80 Rear Coil springs
-1" Daystar coil spacer

I am running LED's, the bulbs that I installed sound similar to what you have installed, I bought them about a year ago through my daughter's boyfriend who works at a local NAPA
the beam pattern is ok, wish there were a few more options available with doing a projector conversion

ordered a new grill today too...the one i had i had trimmed to clear the winch solenoid box and my spare grill(on truck now) is pretty well toast.

Threw a new grill on the truck today. 9ld one was about to fall off.
Don't like the chrome but the weather would not cooperate today. Will scuff it up and get some black paint on it later

A few weeks ago i accumulated all the stuff (grill, headlight buckets etc) to convert to a set of Truck Light LED's. I had those in my Trekker and loved them. Started pulling everything apart and found it was going to be a major PITA to get the buckets to mount with out:
1) half assing it to get the buckets so they would have some form of adjustment
2) changing the core support
neither was gonna happen so I went ahead and looked at this 2nd Gen head light thread

bit the bullet and ordered the LED's, spendy but recouped a lot of the cost returning the headlight conversion parts on amazon

GTR bulbs came in saturday morning, installed them that afternoon

as many of you know I have gadgetitis really bad.
Oregon recently enacted a pretty harsh distracted driving law..pretty much don't touch your phone or other electronic devices even at the light.
So upgraded my dashcam to a Garmin dashcam 55.* Nice thing is it is voice activated and has wifi built in so you can download straight from the camera to your phone
i need to pick up the hard mount cable*
it came in handy today when a blind lady wandered out into the insection (click to play)

still going strong, about 15 mpg with 35's, 5.29's and just over 200K.
not as much get up an go as a manual R150 but for what I have into this truck I can't complain too much.
I would love to a 3.4 or 1UZ sometime
