Is it hard to install? thats the next thing on my never ending list. post up some sound clips when it is, please. what series is it?? thanks in advance

Has to be welded in, Im gonna take it to a muffler shop in town.

I need to see if the fact that its dual exit will cause problems with the HP,

I dont know what series it is, Maybe 1bad4r will know, I bought it from him.

check with FoneRunner, I only have the front skid its like 58lbs

Bud would know for sure, but the belly plate felt heavier to me than the front skid...as it was laying on top of me under the rig while I bolted it in place!:guitar2:

60lbs isn't bad...I heard upwards of around 200lbs, but I knew that number was high...

Ok,

So, on Wed, SteezeMcqueen came down and we went to my buddies place to prep my wheels for sale and to do a few mods to the Runner

so we took wheels that looked like this

all it took was a nice sanding job from my friend Aaron and several coats of paint...

then we worked on the clear corners and putting on the new Firestik to replace the ugly magnet mount I had...

unfortunately, I wanted the "clear" clear corners, not the older model frosted ones and didn't realize that the bumper lights dont match...

while we waited for paint to dry, Dylan and I worked on the stickers...

Then it was the big question! Red or Black... thanks to Aaron to have the patience to tape off that Budbuilt logo while we did the TRD stickers and the Budbuilt.com stickers..

then it was Red paint, and then we took off the tape and put one coat of clear over the whole thing...

The skid looks great, good color choice on the red!

I'm guessing you had to tape off the sticker because it was applied to the bare steel; I wonder why Bud does that and not ship the sticker unattached for the customer to put on.

no, we had to tape off the Budbuilt name, but its not a sticker??

its just laser etched into the steel... theres no sticker there. although he did send 3 stickers to put on my rig! :banana:

or maybe you mean the big green one is meant to be put over the laser etching??

I dunno... my friend taped it off for us, so its all good!

oh, I redid my "mud mod" in a lighter color this time...


Next up I have some trailgear rock sliders sitting around that I need welded on,

I have a magnaflow muffler I have yet to put on,

and Im just a few bucks shy of purchasing the first 3rd Gen gas tank skid that will be available to the public!

Yep, Im hoping Im the first one. I know Yoshida has one, but it was one before the "Official" release, and he was part of testing and designing it so I dont count him.

Would the 7 wraps be able to fit on a stock Runner? I'd like to buy them if you put em up for sale. Unless shipping cost to much. But if it does then i might be able to pick them up on my way out to Wyoming. Sorry got a little ahead of myself, just excited.

Cant wait to see what your Runner will be like after all those up coming mods! be ssure to keep it updated!
