Easy Weekend Mods

4th Gen glovebox has a light that most don't know about especially if they bought used and the light was already burned out. It is right near the main latch and secret glovebox latch under a plastic grill. I removed the grill (no doubt that blocks light) and replaced the factory bulb with LED. I got the bulbs off Amazon for under $8 shipping included and it came with 10.
Very pleased with results!

Speaking of other uses for the coat hooks in back, I whipped this up.

I guess its not fair to assume everyone has 1/4" aluminum laying around and the ability to tap it... but if you do! LOL this took me 30min.

I reused the factory bolts in both body mount holes, and drilled and tapped the hole in the center for the metal quick release strap using a metric fastener I had laying around.

I'm blown away by how sturdy the whole thing is. There is zero wobble or shake.

I probably could have painted the aluminum but... its fine LOL.

What kind of fire extinguisher is that??

Skid Plate

Not really much of a mod, but much needed. Skid plates needed some attention. Pulled the front one off, wire brushed, primed, and painted with bed liner paint. Second will be done tomorrow.

What would be the largest I could do w/ just the leveling kit? Sticking w/ that same tire. Go w/ the factory recommended 265/65/17, and use the more aggressive tread AT/TO?

I just mounted 265/75R17 BFG All terrains on mine this week. OEM suspension as of right now. Zero rubbing

Do you have aftermarket UCA's on your rig? I see you have FJ springs front and rear and 5100's all the way around @ 1.75. I am considering the same but instead of FJ I'm thinking the smallest Old man emu model 883

What sort of lift do you have with your FJ/5100 setup @ 1.75? Are you noticing tire wear is uneven or excessive? Any advice? I want to add functionality to my lift without replacing my 265/60/18 and looking goofy or my UCA's

Wet Okole and ProClip Mounts installed

Just starting to mod my 2006 4Runner. Got in on the Tacoma World Wet Okole Seat Cover and got them installed along with some ProClip Mounts for my iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 6.

Looks great!
What are the specifics on that iPad mount? Part numbers or model? It looks like you have to buy them in two pieces?

What App is that on iPad?

I have a iPad air mounted in my truck in the same location

You need to buy the holder and then the mounting solution for the truck its not CHEAP either way over priced IMO.

the app he has is motionX there is motionX gps, motionX HD and one other i think trails.

Don't spend the money on the motionX gps tho its so clunky its ridiculous IMO. Rather then adding the features in from the HD non navigation version they leave it with maps that look like something from atari or the fact you can't full screen the map and have the clunky side bars, not to mention there is no night driving colors unless you pay yet more money.

What model number for the mount/extension? not the iPad Air specific base plate.

go on the site and plug the device in and it tells you exactly what you need.

for mounting in a car again put in the vehicle and it tells you what mounting options you have.

the mounts are specific to your vehicle.

Clazzio seat covers are a great addition. They are over $400, but you CANNOT tell they are covers. Everyone thinks they are OEM leather seats.
