Easy Weekend Mods

I love all the info and pics, guys, but try and reduce the size a bit, large pics are great, but the lateral scrolling is a pain. This is very easy to do with imgur. When you post it, do a preview, and if it is larger than the pane, choose a smaller size.
I use Tapatalk, as do many, they look the right size on phone/tablet and you can't tell if they are big. It's only on a computer you can tell different and preview like you mentioned.
Also, if you upload pics normally and don't use a host like imgur, Flickr, etc you don't get an option to resize. You'd have to open with something like paint shop and fix it which is ridiculous.

Turn your pc monitor sideways and put it in portrait mode in Windows. Tons of vertical pixels. Or getting a higher resolution monitor will give you more vertical pixels too.

Interior LED conversion + reverse/tag lights. Dome lights and reverse lights are from retrofitsource and are rediculous bright.

That looks really great. I'll be looking to do that real soon. I assume somewhere in this thread are the part numbers? Lots to sort through, but great info here. Thanks for posting.

Finally de-badged her to get rid of the god awful chrome trim and added two 6" dual row LED bars underneath for this weekends off-road trip. Just a small trip to a buddies land but gives me a reason to install stuff none the less :)

Where'd ya get the LED bars at for underneath?

Amazon. Was about $40 for 4 of them. Pretty damn bright too. I ended up welding a bracket to attach both of them too, and since I dont have a spare below, there is plenty of room to work with. Sorry for the crappy phone pic

Relocated the DAC switch from the center console to the dash by the e-diff switch.

Took 30 mins longer than it should have. Trim pieces wouldn't line back up for the life of me.

The front/back lower cross bars are next, along with my roof rails.

I want to either Plasti Dip or Paint the Toyota & V8 emblems. Any ideas?

I'm going to plasti my emblems as well. Probably goign to start with plasti so I can make sure that I like the looks... then move to powder coat or look for a paint.

What do you have to do to help adhesion? Do you sand the grill first or use an adhesion promoter? The finish on yours looks really good. How many coats??

I used a Clay Bar kit to clean the grill first. I went a bit overboard with the tape, and didn't leave the normal space. I used yard garbage bags, it was a windy day. Also, I know it says to wait 30 minutes between coats, but I didn't wait that long each time - 4 coats.

Add a few coats of glossifier on top if you want to make it less dirt/dust prone and easier to clean. It'll also take it away from the matte black and give it a bit of a shine.

I'd really like to plastidip my grill as it has some road damage but I know the plastidip doesn't cover that stuff up. Not sure how to go about it. Its for a black 4runner. I don't really want something that stands out though.
