New ball joint style arms are sold out, but are adjustable per the seller:

So all be on the watch for some camburg stickers going on and some counterfeits coming on the market. Also looks like they messed up cause their auction says $7 lol. And they 100% avoided my question about "manufacturer warranty".

Interesting news, I just read a post on FB about the Ebay arms for the 3rd gen and the guy reports that they have changed the setup on the uniball arms so that the adapters look like the ICON arms...

Hmm, wonder if the 4th gen runner arms will look like that when they get new stock?

Looking at ordering the new ebay ones do you think they will perform similar to the other ebay ones people have tried? Anything I should watch out for when I get these as i know very little about uniball vs these ball joints. Thanks

The major difference between the two is the amount of articulation and overall strength. Thats where LR and Camburg have simply changed the geometry of the arm to make up for the standard ball joint's lack of articulation. This is also why they are a bit cheaper than the uni-ball UCA.

In the stock arm their articulation is maxed out on a lifted truck, so by changing the geometry of the arm you put the ball joint back into the green of its moment range.

IMHO though, I would not run anything Moog on my truck, i don't care if it is surrounded by Camburg. I love Camburg stuff, but no Moog for me.

For everyone asking about the $235 eBay ones, I run them with no problems. Alignment turned out fine. I can take pictures if people would like. They actually use a tacoma ball joint. I can get that part number as needed as well. Spindle-Source is a decent company to deal with. Just look at the reviews of the thousands of products they've sold. Been running them since early July, no problems.

FYI he's probably running the 4runner version, that's still out of stock...

There was just a thread about how the taco and 4runner have different distance between the upper mounts although somewhat inconclusive.

I used one of the ball joints that came with it and one moog K80811 balljoint, I accidentally destroyed the second one they sent with the set. (my dumb ass fault haha) I just followed install instructions for the camburg ball joint UCAs. The seller of the ones on me said they were copies of the camburg one, and the location of spindle-source seems to be about 30 minutes away from camburg. They've treated me well so far. I will be re-greasing everything today or tomorrow actually.

Been running the silver ones for about 6 months now. Still working great! Read the write up ajonesnv did on page 10 of this thread and it will work out nicely. FYI...No slug adapters on the 4th gen.

UCA's arrived today. Bushings are still much wider than the metal sleeve but that seems to be an easy fix. The uniball was NOT covered/packed with grease. The bolts seem to be upgraded, looks like metric grade 12.9 Allen head bolts with a grade 8.8 nylon lock nut. Bolt has "TH" and "12.9" stamped on the head. Nut has "S" and "|8|" stamped.
I'm at work now but I'll upload some pictures by tomorrow

I just installed a set of these arms on my 3rd gen and like a couple others have said they seem to have updated the hardware. The bushing sleeves are still pretty short so i just doubled up a couple washers to get it to where its supposed to be. The spindle adapter is very snug and presses in from the top with a bolt on the bottom. The new hardware is all 12.9 grade.
Even comes with a cap up top to seal out the badness(if your into that sort of thing)

Have not installed yet, but while inspected everything I can not get the uniball to budge the slightest bit by hand. With the bolt and adapters/fittings through the uniball for leverage the thing won't turn/spin/move at all. Is this normal?

EDIT... After some extra leverage I was able to get full articulation from the uniball and now they easily move by hand. Sprayed in a few drops of silicone dry lube and moved the uniball around a lot.

Mine were pretty tight, but I figure they should be just fine once I start running them. I was able to to get them to move a but with the end of my ratchet. You could always install the adapter in the spindle first with the contol arm before bolting the frame side up.

I'm on the same page as you, I cant wait for a lift but I'm going to hold off until black Friday, then I will also purchase the Ebay UCA's.
