eletrical help.... please ???

okay , i have a diode thats part of the main harness. part# in pic . Located front driverside behind kick panel . see pics
the diode is what i need help with if anyone can. i have a 2021 runner limited . with this part burnt out . there are lights not working in the rear of the runner from this issue. not sure if this is part of the PSC AND ABS system but its causing the warning lights for those two to go off..

1. can someone take pic of one in there rig ( if there are any numbers or info on it )
2. identify the specs so i can get one after market.
3. look up if there is a part number for it.. (i tried but i failed)
4. if someone has a rig there parting out and i can buy it from them.

been to the dealership they gave me a the wiring harness part number. not sure if you can dig deeper maybe in that tis system to find more ... i'm lost need some help..

also been to about 5 you pull it yards with no help there. philly has a lot of yards but most are turning over to they pic the part and they said they can't help me with this..

so any help would be appreciated . also thank you....

I'll take a pic when I get home. But also, I would start calling junkyards to see if they have 4runners. They usually do. I bet there's a fair amount of totaled 4runners from off-roading accidents.
 
1. As I suggested in the other thread where you posted about your problem, please get the wiring diagrams from TIS. That should show you how the diode is used in the applicable circuit. TIS can be a challenge to find what you need, but it is probably there.

2. Almost any silicon diode will work, such as the 1N400x series, as I mentioned before. (The "x" is a number designating the max voltage, in your case, probably need no more than 12 volts. "1" i.e. 1N4001 is a 50 volt diode.
The only problem is deciding which side is the anode and which side is the cathode (+ and -). The wiring diagram should show that.

3. It looks like from your pictures the damage is the connection, NOT the diode, i.e. the connector is melted. Poor connections can cause that. The diode may still be good. Some volt meters have the ability to measure diodes; look for a diode symbol on the face of the meter. 4.Looks like the terminals are simple mini spade, i.e. 1/8" spade terminals. (Most of the spade terminals we use everywhere are 1/4"). Thus, the solution may be just to buy new mini spade terminals, and attach them to the wires; but you have to know the orientation of the diode first.
 
So, what caused this connection / diode to fail and melt? No point in replacing it if it's just going to burn up again.

thank you for answering not only this but the other thread also, i did take your advice and went to TIS, i only spent the 25 for 2 days. but reading schematics and wiring diagrams, are not my strong suit and i had a little problem navigating the site. i will take out my meter to test the diode, i actually never thought of that.. i'm off sunday maybe i can log back on and give it another go since i'll have more time to concentrate on it....

okay , with the help of all the people here . i found the soulution for this problem. once everything comes in . i will put together some pictures and have it all back up.....
