Curious on your thoughts between the 6112s and the 5100s? I ran the 6112s/5160 on my Tacoma and was pretty satisfied with them. Trying to decide how I want to set this 4Runner up. Nice looking rig, btw!

I felt that since I wasn't pushing it enough every weekend to validate the 6112's I am happy I went with the 5100s this run.
No noticeable difference on the street.

Been awhile since ive shared or done anything!
I completed a project almost a decade in the making.
So way back I went ahead and started making the sub box out of fiberglass. I used aluminum and tape and fiberglassed up the shell. Then I let the project marinate on the shelf for 8 years. Was time to finally finish it!
re-made the sub ring from old on right, to left new.
Mounted it to the shell and then stretched the stretchy fabric over it and used 3m 77 spray glue to attach it.
I mixed up some resin and brushed it on.
It didnt have enough rigidity so I added some fiberglass mat to the outside embracing I would have to finish it smooth in the end.
Now its rigid enough to cut out the center since it can support itself.
Test fit to make sure all is well.
Slapped some bondo onto the box.

3d printed the logo and used heat gun to make it bendy to conform to curves

Done!
Time to pull off that blue tape after 8 years.

took off the side steps, sanded them down a bit for a roughgrab and get rid of all the flakes.
used rustoleum bed liner spray from home depot.
Each step needed 1 can.

While Chi-town 4x4 was doing my fluid film coating he pointed out my brakes were engaging really low.
I didn't notice since it occurred over time.
Turns out half of the pistons in each caliper were frozen. Pads were wearing more on one side more than the other that also confirmed this.
While removing the calipers I ended up shearing a bolt. Fun times!
So have to replace the knuckle now.
Picked up Powerstop Z36 drilled and slotted rotors
and powerstop calipers
