For those who have demello hybrid sliders, glossy powdercoat or textured?

Hello everyone, i did some extensive searches on the forum and research into the different bolt on sliders for the 4th gen and finally decided to go with the Demellos.

For those who have these, did you guys get the glossy or textured coat? I can't decide which one would be better, both pratically and aesthically.

Btw, for those who's considering Demellos, they are now making the 3 stage kick out version for the 4runners as well. They previously only made them for the FJs.

Any inputs and feedbacks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Textured all the way. Never been a fan of the glossy sliders because you'll need to add some sort of grip tape on the top to prevent slipping when they get wet (big problem here in seattle).

I wish they had the 3 stage kickout when I bought mine. I've seen the fj ones in person and I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Darkie, I haven't seen them in person yet but they do look pretty cool in person. I did consider getting them, they're only about $70-80 more, and considering i'm already spending over $500 that's not much.

I guess i'm just being conservative and safe for going with the hybrid sliders. Any particular reason why you would get them or recommend them?

Here is a close up of the FJ ones:

Besides being a better step for the rear passengers and easier to load stuff on the roof, it will give your rear panels more protection by kicking your truck away from the obstacle and can help you pivot around a tree/rock.

Most people wheel the crap out of their trucks without straight sliders with no damage. My thought is that any additional protection i can add, the better.

Cool, thanks for your input. I'll give it a second consideration and will definitely talk to the guys at Demello to hear their thoughts. Since i'm assuming they haven't produce much 3 stage sliders for the 4runner i hope there isn't more fitting issues as compare to the hybrid ones.

Hey Darkie i forgot to ask you, in the HID conversion thread you posted a pic of your lows and fogs.

What output were they, 5000k and 3000k?

Besides the sliders these are next on my list. How did you like them?

Yup, 5000k and 3000k. I loved the combo. I actually miss having 3000k fogs.
