i have a question. i have been looking at used eclipse nav units for a few weeks now and i notice that they do not come with everything i want (back up camers, bluetooth, ipod hookup etc...). on ebay there are quite a few of these that come with everything i want plus price is cheap and they can also accomodate a tv hookup.

has anyone used one of them and if so are they anygood? here is a link for it:

Do yourself a favor and DONT SHOP ON FLEABAY.

eclipse has been out of aftermarket car stereo for 3 years.
ebay does nto aloow you to touch and feel before you buy.

the item you want is cheap because its probably cheap unit.

if you were to get one, get it from crutchfield. why? warranty, service, warranty, returns, parts, knowledge. ect ect.. now if you are shopping on price, then you dont need it. i own a car stereo shop and there is alot of crap out there. this unit you linked is one of them. it might now break now, today or tomorrow. but when it does, what recourse do you have after the 90 day dispute period with paypal is over? really NOTHING. go to a brick and motor store where the people have been there for a while so there is someone to go back to when there are issues!

i sell kenwood excelon, pioneer, jl ect ect. you want something at a great price, PM me and i will hook you up.

i thought op wanted bluetooth, camera and sd card, and usb. thats what the link he provided had.

OEM nav has that? for 4-500? i am sure your friends pioneer has it. as for your price estimates you are quite off

pioneer avic-x850bh $625
pac tato $55
metra aswc/pac swi-rc $60
dash kit $10
camera $20-300

thats still less than the $1000 you just quoted.

thanks for the replys guys. i know i may be sounding cheap but i dont want to spend alot of money on this. i do realize that i get what i pay for, just was not sure how good the cheap ones were. sounds like they are not.

i took out an e7008 out of my 4runner about a year ago and i would had to buy the bluetooth stuff, camera etc. and the ipod hookup in the console did not work with the nav radio(the nav radio did not come with my 4runner) so i sold it.

i liked the eclipses due to for the most part plug and play but again they are basically the factory nav. i found a few used that came with most of what i wanted but they are asking stupid money for used units.

Ebay doesn't allow you to touch and feel but Crutchfield does??? While I agree their is lots of crap for sale on ebay, their is good stuff too. I bought a set Billy's off ebay because they were cheaper than anywhere else and they still carried the manufacturers warranty. If your smart and do your research, there's nothing wrong with ebay

As for the original question...I bought my Eclipse nav off ebay last year and so far so good. I went with Eclipse because it was a great price and came with all the options I wanted, it was basically plug and play plus no converter is required for it to work with steering wheel controls. And the fact the Eclipse doesn't make aftermarket units anymore didn't bother me because they contracted the support department out so you can still get map updates and such.

Good luck with your choice OP but personally I would be weary of a unit that does all that for $250. If your really on a budget then maybe look into used units

no, but if you MUST buy online. they are better with returns and have great support. ebay does not have that. if you lived and breathe car stereo like me everyday. then you will see how dated the eclipse stuff is.

This one seems pretty clearly Chinese or something - the ad is barely written in english. However, so is the Hanma LED light bar website and people are very happy with their products.

That being said this one does look cheap IMO
