We're averaging 19.9 with 90% highway driving, hoping it get's up to the 22-23 range once winter is over here in the NE.

I just rolled over 1000 miles and I think I'm between 16.9 and 17.8 most of the time. TONS of hils where I live (Carroll County, MD) so it's hard not to suck gas.

However, tonight I had my E-Rated 265/70/17 DuraTracs put on. I'll keep you posted as to how they affect mileage...

...but damn they look badass! :biggrin2:

I saw your tire post and I agree they look pretty nice. I'm sure they will ride very well off road too.

But I am also wondering whether they will affect mileage significantly. Obviously better traction meets more loss to friction which means poorer MPG.

I've got the OEM Bridgestones on my TE and people hate them, but they are very quiet and ride well with good MPG on the highway. I spent 3 days driving across the country with them and no complaints for me... for ON ROAD performance at least.

Those OEM Bridgestones don't like snow or ice, however. Trust me, I know. If you're anywhere near cold or snow - get Blizzaks.

Have a little over 1,600 miles on our new SR5. Here are the MPG's from the last 3 fill ups (the first fill up wasn't accurate so I won't put it here):
16.52 MPG
17.72 MPG
19.72 MPG

This is around 60% city/40% hwy. So far on our current tank the computer is reading around 18.5 MPG. So the economy is getting better with more break in. Also, the weather has been very cold around here lately - so looking forward to better mileage in the spring. Hoping to get that 22 MPG on the highway, but we'll see. This vehicle doesn't seem too optimized at highway speeds.
