Hi,

I am not the seller so don't PM me. It isn't a classified thread since I am not the seller I just wanted to give you all an FYI!


I just came across this SCION/Alpine PT545 head unit on EBAY. It appears to be a great find. They only want $300 for it new. It just went up today. They normally sell for $350 - $400 used.

This is a premium SCION head unit with Navigation, IPOD, XM ect. It costs $800 from Toyota and is a double-din stereo.

I believe this can be easily mounted in a 4Runner and is factory "plug-in" ~ do a search on this topic and you will find some posts.

I know u attached the thread to the scion units but I have a question. I put in an after market head unit would I just buy a wiring harness for the scion unit.

I don't have the answer to your question.

if you are an audio enthusiast or wish to have a semi hi end sound system then this deck is not for you. But if you are looking for a great factory replacement then this would be a steal for only $299.

Why is this not high end?

Well I researched it and it has a signal to noise ratio of 65db. This might even be better than the stock toyota cd player but it pales in comparison to my alpine deck's 109db s/n ratio.

my conclusion is if you just want to add speakers and no amp then get this, it is a steal. But if you plan on running a 4 chanel amp then skip it.

The SCION Pioneer HUs

up to the 1809 are plug and play in 3rd gens. All you have to do is use the connector going into the factory amp in the back of the SCION HU. You will have to trim away at the console to get it ti fit.
