Hard Clunk While Pulling Out of Garage

I washed my truck the other day and parked it in the garage when finished. Three days later when I needed to run an errand, I put the truck in drive and nothing. The truck wouldn't move forward, creep, or anything. It acted like the parking brake was set. After checking everything I could think of, I put it in drive again and gave it a lot of throttle and it broke free making a loud clunking sound.

Does anyone know what this could be? Stuck caliber? Something weird happen from not driving it after the car wash?

Weird! If it was just a clunk, then it's probably something small like the e-brakes being too tight. Otherwise, it could be the transmission

That shouldn't be happening though.

Completely normal. The emergency brake is sticking after the wash. I'm not sure of the emergency brake mechanism used in the 5th Gen, but I had a Matrix that had the brake in a small drum set up even though I had the 4 wheel discs, and it did the same thing. I have also heard that Porsches are known for this. Not a big deal.

He never said anything about actually activating the emergency brake though? Just that he put it into park. I have washed mine a LOT and put it into the garage afterwards and never had this problem.

I had that exact thing happen when I was in Florida a few years ago with my 4g. Damp, salty air + parked for a few days = brake pads rusted solid to rotors. It took quite a punch on the throttle to break free. Rotors were a little rough for a few miles, but okay after that.
