Help Locating Reverse Wire Lead

Hi guy this is my first post but have been looking at the site for almost a year know since I bought my 2010 4runner SR5
I'm in th process of finishing my Nav install and I need the reverse lead for my back up camera here is the diagram if someone can read it and please point me to right direction in the vehicle. I'm looking for a red wire but don't know where to find it. Thank You very much

I think the one you want is on the plug up by the rear view mirror. The plug is behind the cover next to the windshield. It's a group of 3 wires together in the plug red-white-blue (there is another red wire also). I just accessed that wire to turn my rearview camera on at any time. Hope this helps??

Thank you very much for your response, I don't know if I pulled the correct diagram but is thier one easier to access from the headunit like around the fuse box or gear shifter or even beter HU harness?

No prob- I'm kinda new here as well. If you pull the overhead console (2 screws under sunglass holder and then yank it) you can see the harness and probably follow it down. My guess is it goes to the drivers A-piller to the fuse area. If you pull that harness into the console cavity it's easy to access that wire and I don't think it would be too hard to fish a line where you need it.

What trim level do you have? I am just waiting for better weather to install my backup cam on my SR5 without nav. I installed an aftermarket head unit and was wondering if all of the harnesses are present on all trim level so I can tap into them.

Same as you but 2011. SR5 4x4 with leather. I can't imagine it would be any different.

Mine is sr5 with third row leather didn't have factory backup camera. I just installed Alpine aftermarket camera and thiers is no factory harnesses for the camera had to run all the wires.

ooooh. Well maybe try in the center console at the shifter harness. Sorry, I have been in there but only briefly. I think the diagram shows a connection at the reverse lockout switch...

Got bypass Pac tr7 for alpine Nav so I have to press the camera button on the HU for the rear camera to work and now i want to setup the reverse wire so it automatically changes to the rear view

Just thought of something. When I had the OH console out, I noticed an unused harness in there presumably for the SOS button, which I don't have. It had probably 10 wires going to it. Point is, if you have a dimming RV mirror, the harness may still contain the wire you need. Sometimes I guess it's cheaper for them to design 1 harness to cover all the applications. It may be worth a try, especially since that cover snaps off so easy @ the mirror.
