285's or you're a Pu$$y! :biggrin2:
For a highway used AT that still performs offroad, check out the Yokoham Geolander ATS. I have them and they are great. Quiet, good traction in mud and rocky desert, and less expensive.
OK I am in the market for a 2010/11 LE and I'm new to the site I have noticed a lot of people with LE's that they are changing the stock tires for other ones. Why are the stock tires so bad? For me who will be driving 90% on tarmac and maybe the odd weekend in the dirt to go shoot and even that is on graded dirt roads what benefit would I get from changing out the stock tires?
Would I need to?
Would I notice the difference in the ride?
Would it effect gas mileage, if so by how much?
I am stock but looking to go 285. I am under the impression that weight plays a big part of the gas mileage drop and surprisingly the Duratracs are one of the few 285 tires that come in load range D as well as only 53lbs. Most of the less aggressive tires are load range E and 5-10lbs heavier. Anyone know if the rolling resistance of the more aggressive tire will negate the lighter weight?
