Help, this noise is making me CRAZY!

I’m probably being a knucklehead here, but I’d rather ask than break something.

I’m chasing a really annoying noise vibration that I suspect is the black plastic “No. 1 Spoiler cover” in the drawing. I want to remove the damned thing as my first step, but I’m stymied by “Detach the 4 clips …. etc”.

I just can’t make sense of the exploded view, and some prying and looking with my flashlight just doesn’t reveal any “clips”. Do I just yank the cover off?

Thoughts appreciated.

Just pull down on the plastic wiper motor cover. I ran out to the garage to get some pics for you. The white retainers are the same ones that are holding the door panels. Just pull straight down or use a trim removal tool and wedge it in the slot towards the back of the truck.

Good luck finding the noise.

Why can't the stupid reader just look carefully at the blown up cutaway diagram in the RM and realize that it depicts a clip which needs to be pried off, hrm?

Well, now that it's off, and I've seen the 'clips', I still don't understand the drawing of it. Ah, no matter, as long as we have the Duc Support Line. Thanks again Duc, we'll miss you if you ever get a yob.

Hmm, kindof a buzzy vibration. Not a rattle per se. Comes from the rear of the truck. Occurs when hitting small sharp bumps like a crack. Checked the spare, checked the jack compartment, removed everything stored in the back. I haven't checked the rack.

I may need to ride in the way-back while the wifey drives around.

Check the paint under the spoiler. I know mine is coming off and the spoiler does vibrate at high speeds. I've been meaning to take the spoiler off and apply some 3m protection. But you know me, I prioritize stupid strobe lights.

Absolutely no help now, and not sure if you knew or realized, but future ref anytime you see dashed lines indicating a location or around an object in the manual it means that is it behind something or not visible from the diagrams view.

Hope you find out whats rattling, personnaly hate using the "stereo volume mod" to fix.
