help with back up camera please

Ihave a pioneer avic z120bt unit. the local installer put it in, but couldnt connect the backup camera that is on my 2011 sr5 4runner. I have been searching and i found the thread with the schematics, but it is all over my head. Is there a simple answer to how to hook up the factory camera to my new head unit? Is it as simple as knowing what line to splice into?

You have to tap 3 wires. I'll get you a picture of it but it will take a few days.

I know this is off topic but I have yet to see the factory setup for the backup cam. Does anyone have a pic of where/how the camera is mounted? I want to add it to my ride, but don't like how the typical aftermarket cameras look...

Thanks Harper! That gives me all I need and I think I will add it this weekend. I am not worried about the wiring but I will post pics of the existing wires (if any are there). It cant hurt to buy a $50 camera and see how it looks right? :shrug:

I put the wiring diagram and pictures in the aftermarket stereo thread. I think that's where it should.
