Homemade....Let's see what you've made

Going to help a friend do a 3.4L timing belt next weekend so I decided to rebuild my crank holder tool. The original one was thrown together pretty sloppily and after several TB jobs if finally got pretty weak and flimsy.

It still uses 1/4" extensions through a set of holes to hold the crank, (they fit the holes in the crank really well). But this one is made of thicker material and has a nut welded on one side to support the extension much better. The holes are also threaded to accept a 3/8" bolt, the head of which will work well to hold the cam pulley in place when replacing that seal.

My old one and the new one.

Oh you posted that earlier hah! Anyways its bad ass and makes me want to do it especially since it has that oem look
No worries. Copy and paste works too. I give fair warning it is a lot of work. Took me a while but I think it was worth it. So far so good on the quality. I took it offroading and it doesn't even jiggle much.

Homemade Rear Turbo Kit (thanks to those who did this before me)

Homemade Expedition Trailer (still in the construction process)
Got it for free my dad like this:

As of today, it looks like this:

Rear bumper with tire and gas can swing out. Also built some rock sliders but don't have those picture.

Can you or did you do a write up on this? does it need any fuel mods or does it run ok off 91 stock. Ive seen this around and it always looks really sweet.

Hey man! What part of Utah are you from? I live up North in West Point. I really like your 3rd Gen! As far as a full write up, I have not, but others have! I researched for months to get everything I needed and have tried to add to the information! You can find some info in my build thread below

Also, check out these builds too! They have more info, and these guys were the pioneers who started it and get all the credit!

You guys do amazing work!! I can't touch some of this stuff :)
My recent, simple mod, was to fab up some spacers to allow me to install my factory blinkers into the cutouts in my TJM bumper. I was very relieved to retain the factory wire harness and the plug connectors.

Here are the finished spacers:

The end result is really solid.

Sometimes small innovation like what you did changes an industry.

I like the mod. It's creative and cheap lol.

My wife would like that garbage can holder. She showed me something like that on pinterest the other day. Which means I'll probably be building it soon.

So quick question I'm about to build my roof rack and torn between wether to use round or square tubing. i have a tubing bender but don't have the dies for the size I'm going to use. So before I drop a couple hundred dollars on a new die; I wanted to get some opinions. on what you guys have used, and how you feel it turned out and what not. Thinking of using 1" OD Sq or Round just so y'all have and idea. anyway any and all advise is welcome.

They both look good wayfinch. I personally like square tubing better for the roof rack as long as it is kept low profile. Plus with square tubing there is less notching to do on square tubing.
