How do you feel about colored D-Rings and Winch Hooks?

Jesse, your right handed aren't you.

I say that because when you installed them you held the shackle with your left hand and used your right to screw the bolt in. That's why they are both on the right side.

I am right handed, but that's not why they are like that.

They were symmetrical as the little girl [MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION] prefers. However, I noticed the passenger side ring was coming lose from knocking back and forth. turned it the opposite direction and the movement wasn't loosening the screw. the lack of symmetry is better than having one lost on the trail, or flying off while driving down the road.

well if you got the f'in purse off your arm, and tightened the thing down properly...that wouldn't be such a concern would it Batboy?

I mean, I'm sure driving around the Mall on Friday nights...and going Arby's on Saturday night...you have to be worried sick about a shackle coming loose...

I could see the confusion though...you'd have to wind it the 0-p-p-s-i-t-e wayyyyyyy...now there's the issue!!

When doing recovery shackles are not supposed to be tight. You are supposed to screw it in until it's snug then back of 1/4 turn or less. So that you will be able to take them back off by hand. So jesse is being smarter about it than we are teasing him for.
