Thanks [MENTION=115347]gamefreakgc[/MENTION]. The 2.0 pulley was a no go based on tests I've seen. Looks like the 2.1 is at the limits of efficiency for these. Porting the SC might be interesting, but what it really boils down to for me is the characteristic of the engine. They make power late in the RPM band and have a short red line at 5500 so there's not a lot of meat to work with there.
The speed governor is something on my list. I hit 110 real quick in 3rd.
I'm considering one of the Transgo shift kits at some point.
I've been trying to unlock the secrets of efficiency for 2.0" and smaller pulleys. I think porting and a bigger intake is the key. Back in the day people were using 1.7" pulleys and pushing 15 PSI out of the TRD blowers. I couldn't surpass 11.5 with a stock intake but I later learned the intake has some major restrictions. I may even swap out the entire intake at some point to 3". I know it can be done just trying to piece it all back together.
