I got a 1" 4Crawler body lift today. And why...

Here's a better before and after,

AFTER:

Not really a huge difference, but just enough. It also has about 100 lbs more junk in the trunk in the "after" shot.

Hey, can you do me a favor??

Djohns90 wants some of the black flares that we have... I love mine and wont sell him mine, maybe he can buy yours??

Thanks guys. I think I'll hold onto these flares, at least until MillerPKA gives us the word that the new Bushwackers are available.

you're probably a perfectionist and notice every little thing, but I just wanna let you know that there's no gap between your bumper and your truck after the BL.
:art:

came out nice!

I ended up needing the steering shaft extension afterall. All '96 models need them and some early '97s (mine's a '97 model made in 7/96). I wasn't sure so I got it just in case and was glad I did.

Brian,

I know this thread is waaay old, but I've got a question. I'm installing a 1 inch toytec bl on my 97 today. I think mine was made in 11/96, so I'll probably have to use the steering extension. But my question is, how did you know you needed the extension? Was the steering too tight?

IIRC, I loosened the bolts on the steering rag joint before I installed the BL. I think when I went to go tighten it back together after the lift, it would have been pulling on it way too hard w/o the extension. I didn't know for sure that I'd need the ext., I just got it in case because it was fairly cheap.
