what the hell, i have been waiting for like 2 weeks and have not received anything and when i email asking all i recieve is your order is being fabricated, had i nown this i would have just ordered the 2 inch body from toytec and made my own dam bumper brackets.

Did you get an in-between size too like 1.5"?

I got my shipment notice today! I should have it this week and I'll put it on maybe as soon as this weekend! I'm guessing the "over 1" lifts take longer, maybe he doesn't sell as many so he makes them to order or something.

Yeah, its just a 1" but I did just order on monday too. I hope I get it soon so I can just be done. Ahh the wait always sucks!

I received my 2" BL today. It take six days to Montreal Quebec. I start to loosen the nuts after I spray it with PB blaster for few days while waiting for the package.

I got the lift in the mail today! Actually it came yesterday, but it was sent with signature confirmation and the post office was closed by the time I got off work. Picked it up on my lunch break today. Haven't even looked at it yet, but I'm hoping to find time to put it on this weekend. Pics to come...

Anybody know the torque specs on the body bolts?

I read somewhere 20 ft/lbs. doesnt seem like much but they are easy to unbolt.

Anybody know the torque specs on the body bolts?

Instruction say 20 to 30 lbs. I set my torque wrench at 20 lbs and broke the first bolt. I just tighten it on my specs without torque wrench. You have to retighten it after 100 ml.

i just cranked them down with my air ratchet and let it go...never had to re-tighten them

I finally got the body lift on today! It went pretty easy, the hardest part was drilling new holes in my ARB to get rid of some of the new gap. I had to drill at an angle and also had to guess where I should put the new holes since the bumper had to come up and outward to fit right and it was impossible to see all 6 at the same time.

I ended up with .75" of gap which is a little more than I wanted, but if I mounted the bumper too high, it would weaken it and put unnecessary leverage on it when winching/pulling on it. Amazingly all 6 new holes lined up on the 1st try, not too bad for guessing! I just sorta split the difference - It had about a .5" gap before, 1.5" after and with the new holes it's got .75" now. I could still make the gap even less, but I think it's a good trade off between strength and looks where it's at now.

I ended up needing the steering shaft extension afterall. All '96 models need them and some early '97s (mine's a '97 model made in 7/96). I wasn't sure so I got it just in case and was glad I did.

Not really a huge difference, but just enough. It also has about 100 lbs more junk in the trunk in the "after" shot.
