I made some rear bump stops. what do you think?

Went out with [MENTION=84129]97t4r81[/MENTION] today strolling down the Santa Cruz River right through Tucson! It was kind of crazy to have traveled so far into town all while following the river banks.

Here's some more Bump Stop Porn to look at. I have been running this same set very hard, Tons of 3 wheel action. in the pics you can see how the bump stop looks like while the weight of the truck is fully being supported by my bump stop.
[MENTION=118730]AssBurns[/MENTION] had asked about how much compression am I getting. I had time to get the measurements today. The length uncompressed is 5.25". Fully flexed and with all the weight over the bump stop, it measures 4". So it looks like 1.25" in compression.

[MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] made a good point about how trucks with lower ride heights are basically engaging the bumpstops all the time. Just another reason I was never fully sold on the wheelers

I got my bumpstops installed today! Great fit and finish from the packaging to the final install. Now I just need to get out of the city and find some places to wheel and test them out!

Initial impressions are great and in the next week, I will be able to get some testing on high-speed sections and see how they do when the suspension reaches full compression.

Added 300lbs to the rear to help compress/test the bumps-

These bump stops are the perfect size for me. I need to trim some spots, as I'll hit the flares and body before the bumps will stop it. Of course, sitting flat is a completely different story. Gonna leave the weight back there to help compress the suspension more while I test the bump stops.
Tires are 315/70R17 KO2. They're about 33.5 actual inches tall. Rear springs are ToyTec Superflex, and shocks are 5th gen OEM Tokico. Sway bars with OEM endlinks attached front and rear.

I need some input...

Im on my 5th version now. I am so close. I'm just tweaking the height of my bump stop to be as minimal as possible.

I want to eliminate the hard bottom out only. I don't want my bump stop to mess with our shocks dampening in any way until the nitty gritty end of the upstroke.

My latest bump stop design will contact the frame and compress 3/4" before the factory bump stop begins to contact. Once the factory bump stop makes contact it will continue to compress an additional 1/2" until "ultimate bottom out".

What are your guys thoughts on this?

This sounds good to me, please put me in line. I'm also interested in a set of the shorter rears. Cool project!

Just got mine as well! Really impressive work from the stops themselves down to the packaging and customer support. I will update once I get them installed and tested! I encourage anyone in need of bump stops (or just an upgrade) to support the project!

I finally have the front bump stops worked out. I was working on getting my bump stops as short as possible with them still being effective of coarse.

I have tested these as much as I can. I am very happy with how they came out.

I am ready to send out some Beta sets to be further tested.

Would it be possible or reasonable to have 2 layers on the front bumpstops? One layer would be stiffer than the other layer, so you get some damping, then a lot of damping. My thinking is that if its in 2 stages basically, it's a little more gentle. Does this make sense?

Also, totally interested in getting some if/when you decide to start making them. I have been needing some rear bump stops for quite some time. My gas tank skid is nearly sawed in half from my driveshaft and I'm tired of replacing the grease zerk on it.

Use a button head screw to put in place of the zerk when wheelin. My Sonoral Steel lift kit came with one.
