i would like to can the fact that it doesn't have an all-windows-down at the same time button. does that make any sense? i might have been "organizing my herbs" too much before posting!

Or at least have all the windows with an auto function.

I LOVE the fog lights!!! They make our 4Runners look GREAT!!!

If you are saying they don't provide enough additional light for the driver, I might agree slightly.

I always have mine on. Vehicles with 4 lights look MUCH better than ones with only 2. And if you say the way your truck looks isn't important than you should never wash it and must have taken whatever color the dealer had on the lot.

If I only get ONE then it would have to be the goofy RECIRC programming on the HVAC :wtf: were they thinking?

If I could have 2 or 3 then add VSC Off in any drive mode and two windows down and up from the FOB.

the seats blow beyond belief

My back hurts just thinking about it. Says a lot about the truck that I put up with the seats.

Here's why you're all wrong on the DD cargo contraption:
1) put your junk underneath and Fido gets a few square feet to himself up top and doesn't have to dodge stuff sliding around back there
2) put the clubs and golf shoes underneath and leave them there like it's a trunk
3) provides the extra sq. footage to fit the six bags of god knows what the wife/gf brings along for the weekend
4) if you don't like it you can just fold it down for that coupla times you'll need it.

I've never had a problem with the cup holders, I put all sorts of different size cup/bottles in there and haven't had one fall out yet.

I agree I have no idea what they were thinking when they programed the HVAC system....

My own complaint is the lack of auto-rollup for the back window and the lack of a button to turn off the VCS or ATRAC.

As to the other complaints...

Cupholders: True, they don't fit "exactly" everything, but they do a pretty good job of holding bottles and coffee mugs. Haven't had one spill over on me yet when it's properly adjusted. My advice to the complainers is -- slow the fark down! And the cupholder lights - I drive on dark streets most of the time, and having a little light in there helps guide the container into the slot just a bit easier.

The Recirc button: For me, having it on all the time is a blessing as I have seasonal allergies. Most of the time I think I've wanted it ON more than OFF. It seems to stay in whatever mode you put it during restarts. I leave my controls in auto most of the time, so it doesn't bother me.

Cupholders

The cupholders in this thing are the worst. The pop-out cupholder in my Saab 9-3 was better than the 4Runner (which if you've never been in a 9-3, is awful btw). I have to shove my travel mug in the driver's door in the morning, which while not the end of the world isn't exactly convenient. Why not just use concentric circles or flexible foam or rubber like 99% of the cars do these days. I just don't get it.

The one other nitpick I'd have, which has already been mentioned, is that they didn't compartmentalize (or at least pad) the center console. Someone could probably make some good money building an insert for that and the cupholders. And by "good money" I mean "little to no money and good karma".

Other than that I love my 4Runner...just bummed that I have to wait until next winter to drive it in the snow since I bought it in mid-March.

It would be nice that when you push the 4x4 button it would actually go right into 4wheel instead of having to scrrew around with the throttle....


That is one thing Ford has over Toyota.. When you press the buttton it goes right in.

Double decker thing. Stupid. The top doesn't reach to the window so anything you put on it can fall down by the window so that when you open the hatch it all falls out. Brilliant.

OR

Heater/AC controls in general. WAY too complicated. My Tacoma used good old sliders and you never had to sit there and try to figure out how to get what you want. Stupid.
