so im going to make an offer on this one this weekend. although it has a little more miles, i dont see saving 20k on mile worth an extra 4-5 grand.
what do you guys think of this 4runner.

Trolling? -_- like i said in a later post... you cant go wrong with either. If im "so ignorant" then beef up your runner and make 400 horses. I'd honestly love to see that. I have been trying to help a friend beef up his v8 Runner but the headers are now rare and the TRD s/c failed causing them to no longer be made. So if you have the solution then show me.
Either motor will run strong and last an unknown amount of miles. That's all that matters to most buyers.

well guys, i finally got my 4th gen.. i originally planned on spending 9-12 on one... butttt... i ended up getting a great deal on a 2007 sr5 4x4 v6 with 71k miles, one owner, in immaculate condition.. I am so happy to have my 4runner and i cant wait to lift it and put some meats on it. I will immediately install wheel spacers and a 3/2.5 lift, but will wait for the tires since they installed brand new tires before my purchase.
I cant wait to get out in these AZ hills and creek beds with this bad boy.. i of course engaged and inspected the 4x4 system before purchase, and wow.. i can feel the toughness and the torque that this beast has..

Good luck but you cant go wrong with either as a family cruiser.. I have both 
and love both.. My Runner just hit 175K and my Yukon has 110K...
Our Yukon with spacers,keys, and 5100s.. Have had it since new...
My 4runner after getting new 5100s and FJC coils...

I think I may have seen that one while looking for mine. I ended up picking up an 06 V8 4x4 with only 50K on it. Went down to check it out the same day it showed up on autotrader and ended up buying it that night. Already had a lift and tires. Wondering which one of the members here used to own it? Look familiar to anyone?

It's like this...
On Monday I bought my first Toyota ever. A 2004 Limited 4x4 with the V8. It's got 105,000 on the clock. Already had the timing belt service done so that made me happy. Interior is very very nice. I traded a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in on this 4R.
I will admit that this vehicle "feels" more well built than anything else I've ever owned with this much mileage on the odometer. I've been a die hard american brand loyalist for the past 18 years but this Toyota is very very nice so far and I really like it. My only complaint so far is the headroom... I'm 6'3" or so and I can't sit the way I want in the 4R whereas the Wrangler was perfect for my size.
This 4.7L V8 will run like hell when you stomp it. Holy crap. My Wrangler was rated 285 horsepower from the factory and I had a CAI kit on it and it was a 6-speed manual too.. but this V8 Toyota would wipe the floor with it. :faint::faint: I'm very happy so far. I hope this 4R gives me many years of reliable service. Not having a warranty is scary.

i am impressed all around with my 4runner.. even this v6 is pretty impressive. i agree with you.. im a die hard ford and chevy fan.. but im no dummy either.. i look forward to the years with this rig.. but i do still want a
new gt500 ...that will never change... im taking my 4runner out tonite since it rained, for a little test out at butcher jones.. climb a few hill, hit some sand beds, find a little mud..

so i took my 4runner out last night to butcher jones when it was raining..
i ran some sand beds in 4hi, was very impressed with the power and agility of my new rig. ..
i did a few hill climbs in 4lo with the center diff locked... i believe when it makes that noise that is the atrac working, is that correct.. it was muddy and still climbed pretty well for stock height and tires.. also tested out the downhill assist.. seems to work well although a bit noisy..
overall very impressed with the sturdyness of the vehicle, the ability and the power...
