finally slapped on my IROK super swampers today...

You know that picture makes them look big.. But on the rig they almost look small... Like I should have 305's or even 315's on there...

I'd say that comparing brand new duratracs instead of used ones would make them look small again... The duratracs seem to be a little wider ..

Now for those of you thinking about IROK's, or any super swampers for that matter, pretty much don't... Lol.

Hard to balance, don't last long, ETC...

I just got a deal on them and the badass factor is through the roof..

Otherwise.. With this "mod"... +2HP... Hahahaaa!!!

Got a bike rack. pretty much the exact same Thule rack i had on my last 4runner.. The hitch receiver/style wasn't truly meant for our 2" hitch's on our runners.. last time i drilled a hole in the side of the bike rack to adapt to my hitch but it would still wiggle around from side 2 side and it wasn't ideal...

this time i just stuck it in and did some crumby bird poopy welds on the backside... nothing crazy but enough to hold it in place and still be able to grind it off if i ever need to remove it..

I know what you mean! I sometimes carry my motorcycle on the back and the receiver wiggles around and my bike moves around. Kinda freaky watching something that expensive rock side to side or up and down. But looks good. Should be easy enough for some bicycles

how did the plastydip smoke work for you? i like what you have done and am thinking about blacking out some of my lights now

It worked good...

My advice when doing this is to not cake on the spray.. I layered it heavy on some passes and it would have turned out better if I sprayed further away and less spray with more coats.. Just FYI..

Otherwise it's held up great and I can rip it off at any time

Looks good! Not sure how I always missed this build... I really like that look of the stock rack with all the extra cross bars. Best looking stock rack out there!

How did the reupholstering of the door arm rests go? I need to do this since my drivers one is stained after all the years.

Also, what brand of CV's are you running. I'm anticipating having to replace mine here soon after I get my lift on so I'm starting to gather info on which ones I should go with.

CV's are absolute crap... some shifty $70 CV's from a shop which i noticed today one has busted open and spewed all over my drivers side.... i had to get something in there... as my OEM boots tore and i didn't want to ruin them...

i still have my original OEM CV's and plan to reboot them once i decide which boots to go with...

there was a post a while back where someone bought some re-manned OEM style ones with the option for extended boots.... which i couldn't find the post.. the guy has a build thread on here but isn't as active as us...

the Upholstery was pretty simple... just wrapped the new material around the rest and stapled it on the bottom. the naugahyde was the easiest to wrap as it's super flexible and stretchy. the leather was a pain and didn't turn out that good... but hey I'm not a professional upholsterer so I'm sure with a little practice it will get easier.

i bought a couple spare from the junk yard so i didn't mess up my original ones..

Nothing is different about the seats, just the arm rests on the door....
I wish the previous owner acted faster on the "infamous" drivers side cracking..

and i received some light bar mounts as well...

can't wait to get these Line-x'ed and slap them on the ol' 4runner
