I Dynamated the flat surfaces inside the cabinet and put in a sheet of dacron about 1 x2 feet about 1" thick.

Can I just unhook the 8" sub without damaging the amp?
I added 2 Kenwood 12" subs to my 2003 Limited with the JBL Synthesis system, and they are far too much bass for me. I have a free 10" sub I am going to install using the wiring for the 12's and a mono amp, but I am wondering if unplugging the 8" sub on the stock JBL amp would damage the amp in any way as a loss of dual 2 ohm resistances, as mine is blown and rattling. Have any of you just unhooked it without anything on the plug on the amp? Thanks in advance!
