Right now I'm looking into buying a rear steal plate bumper for my 2003 4runner. Can you PM me a quote with powder coating and with out, plus turn around time. Also, do you have any photos of previous rear steal plate bumpers you've done before.

Hey sorry, i have been preoccupied, with moving my shop. Life has been crazy, i moved a shop and my apartment in the same month...and i had 15 days to get my shop moved, and no forklift. its been a crazy few weeks. I can get you a quote, it would really depend on what your looking for and how elaborate you want it. Plate is pretty time consuming. and if you want a tire gate installed into it.
I have a plate-ish bumper i did just recently for the wife's jeep. Its acutally something i haven't done much of because the type of builds i do. The prerunner scene is mostly tube bumpers. I like to build tube and plate...but im just getting into full plate bumpers. and if i was to do one for you, it would be fully custom to what your own personal choice, design would be.

My bad, I forgot that you were moving :doh: I was rear-ended last week so I've been dealing with the insurance company and I couldn't think straight
I only found two company's that make a rear plate bumper for the 4th gen. The first one is CBI offroad.The second rear plate bumper I found was from Relentless out near Reno, NV but they need my vehicle for 2-3 days to fabricate the bumper which is OK, but I just don't have the time for a mini vacation in Reno. Relentless design also offers the plate kit and then you just need to have it welded together. How much would you charge for welding that and what would be the turn around time?

Dude, you can make a killing fabricating your own rear plate bumper for the 4th gen. Not too many people are building them, especially in California. If you like, you can use my 4Runner as a test subject
When you have time, take a look at the links/photos and let me know what you think.

Yeah there isn't a lot of nice looking bumpers out there IMO... I'd def weld it up, and finish it. I'm still getting setup over here though.. The weld it your self kit, is probably about 5-6 hrs of welding and grinding and finishing. Maybe more maybe less.. It depends on how easy their kits are. I'd def take a stab at one.. I may try the tundra rear bumper they got..I'm not 100% sold on the bumper I made for my wife's tundra..

Are you able to make skids for the Tundra? The stock skid is a joke and doesn't even cover the oil pan.

He did my body mount chop and is probably going to do my LT set up too. I bet he will do it he is hard to get a hold of sometimes.
