LE with FJ wheels and Blizzaks

The snow is finally here! Took the truck to the tire shop this morning and put on the Blizzaks with the FJ wheels I bought couple weeks ago, everything fitted nicely, nothing special was needed.

Just want to share this with you all, and for those of you who weren't sure if a TE or FJ wheel would fit on your LEs, here's the answer and it is a YES!

Update:
These FJ wheels do have their original TPMS sensors, but I didn't re-program them when putting them on, so I was expecting the TPMS light to come on when I left home, but it actually didn't... Anyone knows what's going on?

Thanks, I always wanted the TE rims for my LE, and it seems like these FJ wheels are exactly the same as the TE wheels.

I was considering getting a set a few weeks ago but couldn't visualize them on BP. I actually don't like them - but if you do, that's all that counts! I bet they look great on Mag Grey though.

I'll keep them this way this year and I might try some different color coatings next year.

BP is great coz it always looks cleaner than what it actually is, yea... I know... I'm lazy :biggrin2:

The six-spoke FJ wheels look good on the 5th gen. I don't know why more guys don't go with those instead.

Among all the OEM wheels, I like the TE's better!

I also like some of the TRD wheels but they are way more expensive

They are in the garage. I just figured out that actually my work isn't far enough. When I drove out of town last night, it finally came on, so I think the range of those sensors is about two miles, that was a surprise to me....

When you park at home, the 4R is sensing the oem tpms sensors, and thinks all is well.

Only after you drive a while (nothing to do with distance) does the 4R recognize the loss of the oem tpms and alert you.

I run my Blizzaks/steelies w/o sensors, but my oem wheels sit in the garage, and the warning light goes on a few minutes after I leave, and resets after I return.

Pretty sure your tire store or dealer can reprogram your truck to the new tpms'. They do for my wife's CRV when I swap.

They said that there's some code only Toyota can read with their device, but the dealer will charge me 50 bucks for that, so ill just tape the light...
